No, No and No...
I think the Pats look at vets for CB, S, interior DL and WR. All other postions need to be addressed with youth...Osi and Freeney both 2 down players.

Dont need Jackson.
Osi is becoming a bit pricier than I thought he would be.
I would do Freeney if he comes in at a fair deal and just as a pass rush specialist. I don't think he's an every down player anymore. Maybe he can show Jones some moves.

I dunno. I understand the youth movement, but seriously - are our DB problems and Pass rush going to be address by this years draft? I don't think so, now with just 5 picks.
Freeney is certainly past his prime, but for the right price - he would be good for depth and veteran experience. Same is sort of true with osi. I can see S. Jackson gain those tough yards that our RB corp aren't very good at - for the right price.
I am NOT saying to sign these guys for premium dollars. I think all, except Osi, would want a chance at a SB.

Osi and Freeney are done. Steven Jackson is interesting. He's not done, he's only 30 and still runs quite well. If Pollard had stepped up to hit him instead of Ridley he would have gotten run over.
Now, the 64 thousand dollar question. Jackson opted out of a 7 million dollar deal to hook up with a contender. How much is he looking for? If you sign him you don't need Ridley, you keep Vereen.

I definitely consider Jackson IF (big if) he is willing to take a big discount...i'd let Woodhead walk if needed in this case.
Freeney...again price is the question. I think he could be a good 3rd down pass rusher, but there is a point where I say "no way."
Not too interested in Osi.

Huge no on Osi. He completely ignores the running game to the detriment of the team. He has complete tunnel vision on the QB.

I don't think Steven Jackson has ever been on a winning team. That's a guy I wanted ever since he was drafted. Love to have him with a fair deal.

No thanks on all three. Perhaps Jackson but I like backs we have now.
