Yep. Nice job!  It only took them 5 years to even attempt to build for that and now it's a long way down.

Welker is done and Gomie may be, too.

    Don't kid yourself.

Pats are trending up and I am only concerned with health and Brady. That's it. Brady.

    BRADY

Sad that Russell Wilson can manage an offense better than Brady.

    [/QUOTE]

Why would Gomie be done? And they've won the same as the Pats have over that time, right?

You're seriously not concerned with the pass rush? They had Wilfork and Mayo the last 3 years and guess what, no pass rush in the playoff losses. No turnovers either.

Did you watch the AFC championship game and then the SB? The Pats touched Manning once, Seattle was in his face all night and forced turnovers left and right.

If Brady played with that defense he'd have won the SB too. STFV already rusty.

yes, in a 4-3 which is different than 3-4 OLB which all those guys, besides Willis, are. they rush almost every play while MAyo rushes rarely

sign a real strong safety. someone good. (whitner, pollard)

    get Talib back.

get some damn DE/DT depth through FA  and draft

and i think we could be great like Seattle.

glimpses were shown the first few weeks until the injuries came on.

need one or two more playmakers and health

Very close, especially if healthy and maybe a key FA add than can help on the DL or at Safety.

It was the best D in the AFC early and if Gronk was available for this, oh my.

Yep.  Warnings have been out. Pats the youngest team in the AFC and Seattle is in trouble with some bad contracts and free agents. Pats are right there, but the concern is Brady.

They just won the Super Bowl!

Maybe signing Cliff Avril and Percy Harvin wasn't such a disaster after all.

Both came up big when they needed to.

Danny Amendola, meanwhile, dropped his one pass.  Welker at least caught a bunch . . .

I about choked when I saw this thread title.  I wish the Pats D was close but the Pats defense can't even be mentioned with the Seahawks defense.  That Seahawks D was mighty tonight.  Damn, we can only dream of a defense like that Seahawks D.  The titles this team could have with a Defense even close to what we witnessed tonight.  Belichick has some work to do.

still blaming brady yet the O-line SUCKKED in SB42 and to a lesser extent in SB46.

oh TB didnt put up 30 what a bad guy so crappy even though he was under diress all night.

fact is the offense, including TB, left the field in both SBs with a LEAD and defense could not get the job done.

two sundays ago, couldnt stop a nosebleed if they tried with their life.

defense needs major improvement too, as stated up above

Big difference here.  Wilson is asked not to lose the ballgame and the defense is asked to win it.  Wilson is the perfect QB for what Seattle has.  Just don't turn over the ball.  He isn't asked to win it like Brady is.

We need another pass rusher along with a SS, assuming everyone comes back healthy.

Mayo, Hightower and Collins are, arguably, the best LB corps in the NFL. A beast of a SS like we had in Harrison to control the heart of the defense, another pass rusher and Wilfork (@ 75% of what he was will do)and Kelly returning makes the Pats an elite defense.

We were top 5 before we lost all these guys.

thats what iim saying, maybe close is too easy on them but its not like a complete overhaul is needed. there are solid pieces there and just add a few more and we are on the right track.

i agree best LB corps in the NFL
