I just rewround the 3rd down play (got TiVo) and they did spot it a yard short.  Jeez, more referee boneheadedness.

Watched the replay, that's eerie, and a good omen for NYG.

I'd rather face the Pack than the Giants. Giants have a good QB, better defense that can rush, and a very good run game. The Packs D would get eaten up by Brady

Man...this Giants team just won't go away.  They're going to be trouble...  If we're lucky and good enough to get there, I wouldn't like that matchup.  One thing I noticed...Rodgers like Brady, throw to the receivers...Eli just throws to a spot.  Too bad we don't have the defense that can play solid man-to-man defense.

I Tivo'd.  He was short.  His butt came down with the ball a foot short.  Spot was bad by two feet, but still no first down earned.

I think he wanted to save his one remaining challenge....and I don't think challenging the spot is usually overturned (or re-spoted).  Looked one more time, and he made it to the 32 - that was a first down - but they spotted it at the 31.  Oh well, they still got a TD lead.

I looked at it four times.  He was short by a foot.  I don't want the Packers to win, and I agree the officials have been favoring the Pack, but that was not a first down and Coughlin wisely held his flag.

Looked close, but good by a hair.  I just watched the 3rd down again - still think he made it, but I wouldn't bet a red cent on it.  Since Caughlin didn't even argue, you're probably right.
