    heres my 2p's worth

22 - Jared Odrick - BB values D-linemen over any other position so if available he will snap up Odrick. The conversation may take a season or 2 to perfect but would be solid move
44 -Ricky Sapp - fits the size speedy combo bill likes in his OLBS
47 - Golden Tate - Classic number 2 reciever with return skills to add to mix
53 - LeGarrette Blount - high risk signing esp given his lack of pass catching but gives us a power back the team has lacked for a while

I agree that BB may be blowing smoke by showing his love for Tebow but maybe BB will throw us another curve and (lets hope this does not happen) draft Tebow.

I would like BB to draft Graham, Kindle or Hughes with pick 22.

Then trade pick #47 a 4th & 7th this year for say pick 35 and draft Demaryuis Thomas

with pick # 44 you draft Sapp
with pick # 53 you draft Houston.

I can see this helping our D get to the Qb

In Response to Patriots 1st Round & 2nd Round Mock Update- April 3rd:
With the 22nd pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the New England Patriots select: RYAN MATHEWS HB FRESNO STATE I know this is a stretching a bit, but I think this kid is a perfect back for the Patriots system. He's like Kevin Faulk, except stronger and more athletic. Also, as much as I love Brandon Graham at 22, the Falcons are going to pick him. And honestly, I like Odrick from Penn State, but NOT at 22. If Graham is picked, this should be the Pat's plan B BTW second round picks: 44- Jerry Hughes DE/OLB TCU 47- Tim Tebow QB Florida 53- Damian Williams WR USC Thoughts?

no way Damian is there at 53, we shuld pick him up with our 1st second round pick if Hughes is gone, and if he isnt then we take him with the second

We did not release our TEs without a plan. Right now it looks like the plan is to sign a veteran free agent - done - draft a stud, and have some backups like Agnone (remember Wiggins?). So the only part left is to draft a TE stud, so any mock draft without a TE in the first 4 picks is wrong - BB will draft a TE in the first 4 picks.

When we had a high draft pick in the 1st round, BB drafted Seymour and Warren - D-Line, so more than likely we will draft a D-lineman, and we traded for Burgess because BB knew we needed a pass rush (bad trade but right idea). So three of the four picks are going to be DE, OLB (pass rusher), and TE. Very unlikely that will change because this draft is deep - the Pats will draft on need because that need will be one of the "best available" as well.

    So:

    1. Odrick
    2. Sapp - Scarnecchia worked him out for 5 hours like Vollmer last year. Scar was correct on Vollmer so Scar will be the King in the draft room this year. Scar did not hang with Sapp for 5 hours unless he was convinced.
    3. Pouncey
    4. Gonk

Sorry guys there will be no RB or WR with the first 4 picks - if you sit down to watch the draft expecting a flashy player with the first 4 you will be disappointed - might as well get over it now.

Re: Patriots 1st Round & 2nd Round Mock Update- April 3rd

Unless BB is so smart, he knew everyone would figure out it was a smoke screen designed to show he isn't interested, and he is actually interested...or, he's smarter still, and isn't interested, and knew everyone would see how obvious he was being with the whole dinner thing, and think he must be up to something to be so obvious, thus making others think that maybe he really is interested...or......

bottom line is I doubt he drafts Tebow in the second round with the various needs the Pats have, but if he lasts to the third, maybe he'd try to trade for a third round pick and take him.

In Response to Re: Patriots 1st Round & 2nd Round Mock Update- April 3rd:
[QUOTE]I disagree. If BB wants Tebow he doesn't go near him pre-draft. By having dinner with Tebow BB created quite a stir and caused many to consider taking him higher than was originally thought. You have to admit the dinner created increased interest and chatter regarding Tebow, and now teams are thinking he can go anywhere (even in the first round). If BB wanted Tebow then the last thing he would've done is to have a very public dinner with him. Remember, they've been scouting this guy for 4 years. They know everything they need to know. What do you think they were talking about at dinner? The purpose of the meeting is to get people like you and me thinking BB really likes Tebow, which in turn could create buzz which would make rival GM's wonder if something is going on. If BB was truly interested there is no way they would hold such a public meeting. In Response to Re: Patriots 1st Round & 2nd Round Mock Update- April 3rd :
