outsiders observation - even with the miscues and good play from the bills. It seems the pats are in command of this game even if down on the scoreboard. -

In Response to Re: Patriots-Bills season opening game thread:Just to recap ... the D has given up one TD in one half. Brady had a fluke INT TD. In other words, no reason to get your panties in a bunch.
Posted by themightypatriotzAgree Mighty, but there is one area in question; protecting Brady. I mentioned in some other threads that from the Eagles game onward in 2007, Brady was getting hit 1 in 10 pass attempts. It hasn't changed as of yet. Not in panic mode, but something to watch. Can he take getting hit like that all year? No. -

Not a good half of football. It appears our O-line will be a greater problem them our D. Then again a lot of us were on this 2 years ago when they couldn't stop a quality pass rush including the Giants in the Super Bowl. -

The Bills are a bit lucky to have that lead right now, but the Pats' 'O' looks a mite rusty, like I thought they may.
NE is running a bit, and the short game isn't there all the way. On the plus side, the new CBs, in an admittedly small sample, look much better than what they feilded last season.
Let's go, second half. Stop em' and get the lead. -

does anyone actually prepare in the pre-season anymore? This team looks like just broke camp in July. Weird. I watched a ton of football this week - good thing we didnt play a TN, Pitt, NYG, or Packers/Bears today -it wouldve been ugly. Oh well, it is only the first week.

The Bills are not as bad as most are making them out to be, lots of young players on the D and T.O. is a major factor. -

I agree - But last year this team seemed stuck in the mud to start the regular season. I think tonight has a lot to do with play calling on offense. For some reason we are not sticking with whats working?? They can't cover anyone when we go to the quick passing game..And the middle of the field is wide open. Moss has his man 8 yards off so the hitch and slant is there. Even MOss and his famous 10 to 14 yard drag/dig is open all night..
And like a few years ago the run plays are so predictable... -

This is a 10-6 team at best.
No surprise either. You can't expect Brady to ever be what he was 2 years ago. -
