Another no name QB looking like an ALL World Hall of Famer against the Patriots.  Sorry guys this D is not championship caliber.  Not even close.

No it's not, but the silver lining is, the Pats have already beaten the AFC teams that actually do have a SB defense.

We could try blitzing? Just an idea....

The issue isn't a pass-rush. We're consistenly getting in Hill's face and forcing him to flush the pocket. The issue is that we can't wrap him up after that.

We need to start sending blitzes and getting athletic guys around the QB who can keep up with Hill.

One point, although it's nick-picky - why, when the Lions receiver caught the last pass didn't we just surround him to keep him out of the end zone?  If we'd have done that, and yes, I know it goes against every instinct, the clock would have run out, even if he just went to the ground - only two second left, surely that would have clicked off.  I admit, I'm a few beers into this Thanksgiving day (not eating until after the game), so I'm venting a bit, but that would have been a smart, Pats-like move IMHO.

I made this exact point on the last page.

They should have just kept the receiver in front of them and not touched him until the clock read zeros.

The Pats won two Super Bowls indoors, it's not all bad.
