Patriots Offense: Overrated and Pathetic in the Playoffs?

Joe Flacco outplays Brady in last two AFCCG

Ravens defense owns Brady and the Offense.

Always choke in biggest games, in biggest moments!

Nobody better blame the defense for this debacle. You'd think the best offense in NFL history could score more than 13 points midway through 4th quarter against an old defense? Nobody better call Manning the choker in playoffs, seems like Brady isnt much better recently!

No Gronk, Talib goes down, Love goes down, Ridley goes down.  Ridley knocked out and fumbles, Wes drops an easy first down grab that turns the momentum...Brady looks like his typical nervous self against the Ravens.  They didn't look ready or hungry enough and pretty much whatever could go wrong, did.  Credit the Ravens - they executed.  No arguing that the offense choked, but the D was also carved up like Swiss cheese after half time.  Very very dissappointing effort to end the season.

I'm not really sure I understand using Woodhead so much after Vereen showed all kinds of mismatch problems in the last game.  Whatever, plenty of things to second guess.  Man, what a poor effort.

I cant blame this on Brady

    1. Our offense sukked overall - especially inability to run the ball and Welker's 2 big drops..

    2. No pass rush

    3. Seems like our secondary is made up of just 1 guy - Aquib !

Recent playoff chokes of "Best Offense in NFL history"

    2007 SB against Giants

    2009 wild card against Ravens

    2010 against Jets

    2011 against Giants in SB

    2012 against Ravens in AFCCG

How many of the games above can you blame on the defense?  At most one, if that. (2009 against Ravens)  In all other games the offense simply choked.

Simply pathetic and embarassing to see this group of mental midgets today.

    yeah really.

the offense stunk in the big game once again. its always the same, short passes. they dont have anyone who can get open deep and catch the ball nor can brady throw an accurate deep pass any longer. I've always been a big Brady fan but his playoff trend continues and he's getting older. Its time to find his replacement.

other than that 2009 game against the ravens none, but even in that game the offense turned the ball over several times to set up raven touchdowns.

Unless we are able to put up a big lead early, our defense can't handle it.  We need other teams offense playing from behind to create turnovers.  The Ravens have a good D. Houston's was a pretender and couldn't handle our offense.  Baltimore could handle it.  Then, their defense got to play with a substantial lead and all of the turnover advnatages that go along with that.

Just another case as the last few years, run up against a physical team and the Patriots wilt up like dead flowers as they get roughed up. Another case where the opposing QB does not tremble in the pocket because we lack the physicality to make him nervous and no CB capable of making receivers pay on every catch!

I never single Brady out for the underachievement. I always mention it as the offense.

Oh... and also, by mid season next year, people will be hyping the offense which by then would have crushed a handful of bad teams each by a margin 30 pts.

The offense stunk. Plain and Simple. Second half possessions: punt, punt, fumbles, downs, int, int.

The defense was not as bad, but still pretty poor. Four TD drives and no forced turnovers by a team that's defense was based on forcing turnovers and holding teams to FGs.

Over rated and Pathetic in the playoffs? WHAT?

Didn't they win a playoff game last weekend and looked good doing so?

Didn't they win in the playoffs last season and take the AFC title?

    Bad game today, it happens.

I thought they played well in the 2011 AFC championship game. They won 23-20, isn't that what counts.
