Can't wait to watch the turmoil around the Jets as they
try to figure out who is actually worse, Sanchez or Tebow.

Its going to be a long season in Jetland!

I have to admit that I'm actually enjoying this thread.

To watch a feeble attempt by a Jest Fan to defecate on a Patriots Board is ludicrous to say the least.  About the best he can do is defecate all over himself.

There are a lot of things that Patriot Fans can be happy and grateful about and one of those things is just simply not being a Jets Fan.

It seems that when fat Vince isn't crying about the rules to protect QBs from dirty players like Vince Wilfork ( http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/17/vince-wilfork-nfl-rules-protect-wimpy-quarterbacks/ ) he spends his time pondering other teams QB depth ( http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/view.bg?&articleid=1061125074&format=&page=1&listingType=pats#articleFull ).  Why would a team pay a fat, dumb, mediocre player so much money to lead a bottom ranked defense?

In Response to Re: Fat, dumb and overpaid : So, you think that being in the bootom part of the league in passing yards, QB ratings, rushing yards per attempt are all good things becasue the ppg were ok?
    Posted by JetMangione

So you think being in the bottom third for PPG is ok because they give up fewer yards than the Pats?

Inferiority complex much there little man?

Jets had their shot, twice actually, and couldn't get over the hump. They are like the Eagles of the early 2000s without the QB, head coach, running game...and perhaps an equivalent D. Good for you, a poor man's 2000s PHI, which is really just a Poor Man's early 90s Buffalo. You're a poor man's, poor man's Buffalo...congratulations.

Rex Ryan will be a very good coach...for his next team. Just like BB, he needed to learn a few things. Just like BB, he had early success which won't last. Just like BB, he'll get run out of town some time in the next few years. It'll be the irony of all irony's when he signs on as NE's D coordinator before getting his second gig. Enjoy that one NY!

Are you here to debate about how much better run the Jets are than the Patriots? Is that your point of being here? Or are you here because you find it fun to prank and annoy the fans of a different team than yours? Either way you look ridiculous.

    1. the jets are a joke and have been since 1969, they are in rapid decline after spending all of their cap money for a failed championship run. didn't even make the super bowl, and now they sign the lowest rated and most controversial quarterback in the nfl to compete with their 5th overall pick quarterback to throw to the oldest and worst group of receivers in the league.

    2. if you are here as a prank then know that it just comes across as childish and really doesn't bother anyone. you are wasting your time and looking like an idiot.

None of it really matters though because anything you say here doesn't matter lol.

In Response to Re: Fat, dumb and overpaid:
In Response to Re: Fat, dumb and overpaid : 1) The Jets are not in the bottom third of the league in points allowed. 2) Given just how awful the Pats D was, it was clearly an anomaly that they did not allow more points.  Yardage and points almost always go hand in hand. 3) The Jets DEFENSE gave up fewer points than the Patriots DEFENSE.  4) So, the Jets can go from 2008 to 2009 with a new HC, rookie QB and 11 new starters and go to the conference championship game the next two years, but an 8-8 season marks the end?    5) What early success are you referring to with BB?  Was it the 6-10? 7-9? 7-9?
    Posted by JetMangione

Ok, so now you're splitting hairs. Bottom third would be the worst 10-2/3 teams. Jets are the 12th worst....oooooooooh. Feel better?

Points are points. I don't care if it's a 90 yard drive they gave up, a pick 6, or a KO return for TD. Points are points. Maybe if the D had done better, Sanchez wouldn't have been forced into bad field position and a pick 6, or fumble return. Coulda, woulda shoulda...but points are STILL points.

Yes, this marks the end. It wasn't just the 8-8, it's players quitting on their team (holmes), being a constant non-football story (Cromartie), holding out 2 years in, and threatening to do it again (Revis), an atrocious QB situation (self explainatory), in addition to the joke of a salary cap situation they are in and wondering who's going to block for them, and who is going to be a 2nd RB/FB...or something to spell the underwhelming Shonn Greene.

And do yourself a favor and go re-read the success I mentioned about BB. Maybe fury is blinding you, or you can't see over your keyboard enough to see the WHOLE post...I was referring to BB's second head coaching gig...where was that again? Oh yes, NE, in 2000, when he went 5-11. How'd year 2 go again?

    How's 1969 treating you?

In Response to Re: Fat, dumb and overpaid : I see, so you're all about the drama.  That's not surprising.  Oh, did you think that the Patsies was BB's first head coaching job?  That is hilarious, but also not surprising. Most of you clowns have no idea that the Patsies floundered for their first 40 years of existence or that there was even a team prior to 2001. So sad.

I'll give you 1 out of 3, the fat part.  Vince showed up at his first camp willing to play at whatever weight the coaches wanted.  They wanted fat. The difference between Wilfork and Rex is that Wilfork gets paid as part of his contract to wolf down the fun stuff.  Rex is just a grease and carbs junkie who lost the battle.

BB specifically avoids dumb players.  Vince takes care of his family better than all of us.

Players are paid to win, and in Wilfork's eight regular seasons the Patriots have gone 14-2, 10-6,12-4, 16-0, 11-5, 10-6, 14-2 and 13-3 with seven division championships.  The other 31 NFL teams all have the same salary cap as the Patriots and not one of them has anywhere close to seven division championships in the last eight years.  Why aren't most of the players on these other 31 teams overpaid?   I pretty much trust the Patriots front office to not overpay anyone.
