Damn right we are the team of teh decade. The Steelers are a close second but we are deffently the best team of this decade hands down.

This article is a no brainer.....anyone who knows football, knows that the Pats are the team of the decade.

They try to make a case for the Steelers but the Pats are one up on them in many important categories. I really don't see the Pats falling apart and having a losing season this year.

Is everone sure? Bugboy Leon (or whatever name he's using now) says it's the Giants.

Just kidding. It shouldn't take an Einstein to figure out who the top team of the decade was.

No brainer to be sure! Even Colts fans (inbred as they are) couldn't deny it logically ... though they probably would. The only other teams who come anywhere near would be the Steelers and Colts. But the Steelers only have two SB wins and the Colts one. Plus NE has beaten both teams twice on their way to their three titles. Out of the eight years this decade the Patriots have only had one season with less than 10 wins ... and the two years they missed the playoffs they lost the division by a tiebreaker each time! No team has been dominant in the NFC. Eight different teams from the conference has made the SB in eight years. And NE, Pittsburgh, and Indy have been to six of the eight. I couldn't find the article about players of the decade, but I'm guessing the QB of the decade would be Manning (according to SI). I don't see how it couldn't be Brady, but you know how the media is. And Don Banks is claiming 2000-2009 is the "decade". But in truth, the decade started 1/1/2001. When they started counting years I'm sure they didn't have a "Year 0"! Hopefully Brady will have a comparable season to 07 this year, win a fourth ring, and remove any sensible argument completely!!!

Leon has been missing from the forum for weeks now so no need to even bring himinto this thread evil unless you miss him and are trying to bring him back by mentioning his name? he is like the candyman, say his name in a mirror 3 times and he will show up!

Tom Brady hands down is the player of this decade. He won 3 super bowls, played in 4, was the MVP in two, threw for 50 TDs in one season, he was teh leader of the greatest offense in history and he did most of this before he even had a Randy Moss type player. He has the records and the rings. He is the total package.

Seems like a premature coronation with at least another season left (two, if you view the calander from a Gregorian perspective) in the decade.

Opinions are easy and you can skew facts to suit your point.  I can see Steelers fans on here make their case and, of course, we'll have the usual "cheater" references indicating the Pats record this decade is a smoke screen.  Just the typical anti-Pat bias we'll see for a long time for this decade's Pats team.  We'll just have to smile and enjoy the talk about our team from all the "experts" who will then be denounced by fans outside of NE!

Plus you need to factor in the Pats record this decade against it's 2 closest competitors.

5-2 vs Steelers
8-5 vs Colts

CHEATING = 3 Rings
NO CHEATING = 0 Rings.

If the Steelers win Super Bowl in 2009 they have to be considered the team of the decade.

So I guess the Steelers would be SOL if they won the next two Super Bowls to close out the decade in question.  Moronic article.
