The patriots arrogance always does them in.
When they were winning Super Bowls they were not arrogant in their approach to the game.
The D makes a huge stop on first drive. Pats get it on their own 5 and what do they do? A seven step drop to throw long? To who? Safety.
Brady hoists garbage down field insted of doing the smart thing - running for 3 yards and keeping the clock running. Interception. Why? Arrogant.
They won three bowls playing smarter then other teams. No one cared about stats. They won with guys like Patten at WR. It isn't the talent - it is the arrogance of the offence - all a result of the 16-0 year.
They now think they can show up and score 35 without trying.
A smart QB and team that wasn't so arrogant would have never thrown that pick. Would have found ways to pick up 1st downs.
Oh well. -

People keep talking about how the Pats "almost" won...Remember...The only controversy in this game was the ridiculous non-call on the blatant pass interference by Moore on Manningham...Moore clambered over Manningham's back long before the pass arrived. If that had been called properly, the game might have moved in the Giants direction a lot sooner...
