Well Corey only is acused of hitting his wife - which is bad.  BUT  Holmes hit his GF, was accused of throwing a glass at some other woman, told another woman to kill herself, refused to comply with Federal Transportation Regulations, was suspended for subtance abuse.  So relatively speaking he's doing way, way, way, better than Holmes.

Corey is retired I don't think he's gearing up for a SB.

Saying he was BAD isn't defending Dillon.  Dillon acted stupidly and will no doubt pay the price.  Now relative to the SCUM that is Holmes he isn't quite as bad.  We can add in drunken driving, resisting arrest, as well as drug dealing to the loser that Holmes is as well.  Holmes keeps up his crud and he won't be playing football until Sept 2011.  Now why don't you toddle off and show your actual support of Holmes breaking federal regulations again little boy.

. The Patriots were the only team (as far as we know) to continue doing it after the memo was introduced, so sure, they should have been punished for that.
    Posted by hardright

That is actually incorrect. The Jets were caught in the act taping the week prior to the Patriot game, during the Patriot game, & the game the week after. That's 3 weeks in a row. They had the audacity to tape after turning the Patriots in, & after Goodel had his melt down. Goodell should have come down extra hard on the Jets, there was obviously favortism shown, then the debacle with the allegded tape ending up in FOX's hands. His ensuing "investigation" couldn't figure out if he gave the tape to FOX, his wife the FOX employee gave it to them, or if it was fabricated by someone else.

"Published 12/13/2007 at Newsday.com - Jets The Jets denied there was anything illegal about their videotaping practices at last season's playoff game in Foxborough, calling the use of a second end zone camera "standard operating procedure." But they also said they won't try to do it on Sunday when they return to Gillette Stadium. (link)"

"According to league sources familiar with the situation, the Jets were caught using a videotaping device during a game in Foxborough last season that resulted in the removal of a Jets employee. After Gillette Stadium officials saw him using the recorder early in the game, he was told to stop and leave the area."

If they weren't doing anything wrong, why would they stop doing it? Why didn't Goodell punish the Jets? How would it look that the one team that made the allegations was also doing the same thing? The Jets were guilty & went unpunished, even though Goodell said he would punish everyone equally. He's done nothing but lie to keep his job. If he was an honorable man he would have resigned when his wife gave her employer the tape. The boy is crooked as they come.

Gary Wheelock, CEO of the non-profit group, sends this statement:

"New England Dairy & Food Council wishes to apologize for our miscommunication that led to student disappointment that a New England Patriots player did not attend the Lebanon CT Middle School assembly program earlier this week.

This was not, in any way, the fault of the Patriots, it was solely New England Dairy & Food Council’s mistake, and we are very sorry.

We want to congratulate the kids at Lebanon Middle School for their exemplary efforts participating in the “Fuel Up To Play 60” program. Building strong bodies and strong minds is a goal we can all embrace.

Finally, we promise that we will find a way to make this right, and we ask the kids for their patience while we try to make amends."

Wheelock stressed that the Patriots do not deserve any criticism for the mixup and apologizes to the team for subjecting them to negative press.

For the record, the Fuel Up to Play 60 program sponsored by the Council does not have a player appearance component; it is an interactive nutrition and fitness program; there are hundreds of New England schools involved in the program and promising each an appearance by Patriots players is not possible.

I helped highlight a few key words and sentences so you can take it to your mommy and have her read it to you and explain that it is not the Pat's fault.....

Okay, so MY point is, it doesn't matter if some gym teacher said there were going to be players there when there wasn't going to be.  MY point is why would the team send anyone other than a few players in the first place?  These things YOU SEND PLAYERS to!! In Response to Re: Pats get caught cheating.... AGAIN:
In Response to Re: Pats get caught cheating.... AGAIN : Just for the record, I don't think pointing out what other teams have done, or allegedly done, means anything either. Do I believe the Colts pumped in crowd noise at the RCA Dome? Why yes, I do. But you know what? I also believe that's part of football and it's part of having the home field advantage. I actually have no problem with it if the Colts did do it (one media report that surfaced three years ago about a security guard at the dome confirming those suspicions to a TV reporter got very little national media play); it's just gamesmanship. Teams take preparatory steps (such as pumping in rock music or aircraft engine noise onto their practice field) to deal with crazy crowd noise on the road, all the time; so they know what goes on and they take steps to deal with it. Just like Herman Edwards and other coaches were actually seen WAVING at the Pats' camera on some of the Matt Walsh tapes--they knew it was going on, and they didn't seem too concerned about it. The bottom line about Spygate was that it was utterly, completely, and ludicrously overblown, first by the Commissioner, who was pissed off that his memo was ignored (hence, the disproportionate fine for the miniscule offense), and then by the media, most of whom had been aching to extract some kind of "revenge" against Belichick for his "unfair treatment" of them over the years (i.e.--he didn't make their jobs easier to do, like some other coaches do, so they hated him). In the end, all it was about was stealing signals, which is an age-old and still-practiced art; and it's all part of football. The video camera stunt had been pulled by multiple teams (many of whose former coaches admitted it publicly in the wake of Spygate, including Jimmy Johnson) in the years leading up to Goodell's memo. The Patriots were the only team (as far as we know) to continue doing it after the memo was introduced, so sure, they should have been punished for that. But they never should have been punished as harshly as they were and it never should have been allowed to be used as a tool by the media to "taint" their accomplishments during the previous few years. There's absolutely nothing tainted about them, as their post-Spygate record (39-13) reveals (too bad they didn't pull off the Super Bowl win against the Giants, because that really would have put all of the "tainted" talk to rest, but strange and mysterious things happened that night, the likes of which we had never seen before in a Super Bowl, so whaddya gonna do? Them's the breaks sometimes.)

Yes Yes  - that facebook page which clearly appears to be the official facebook page of the play60 program provides no evidence whatsoever that other teams send players and mascots to schools to promote the program.

No evidence, I guess, that is if you are blind.

Anyway, I want to go on record that I agree that the association screwed this thing up with some pretty suggestive language in their letter to the school and that technically the pats bear no responsibility in the matter.

    BUT -

    1.  This is an NFL program.

    2.  A Patriot executive (a Kraft by the way) accepted an award from a national physicians association on behalf of the NFL for exactly this program.

    3.  If this is an NFL program and if the Patriots are identified as being involved as demonstrated by a Kraft accepting an award on behalf of the NFL, then why are the patriots allowing a local dairy association to organize an NFL/Patriots sponsored school event when the Patriots know that no one of significance is going to show up?

The patriots cannot walk away from this without at least a little egg on their face.  That said, I am sure they will 1) make up for it and 2) make sure something like this never happens again.

You dont get it. You come on here running your mouth about the Patriots not showing up at this function. For the sake of arguement, let's assume that you are right. 1) You don't mention the other millions of things the Patriots organization and its players have done for charity. 2) Have you went to every other team and kept a running tally of all of thier charitable endeavors??? For some reason, I highly doubt that you did. 3) How many charitable events do you volunteer your time during the year? ( I know you wouldn't want to teach your kids that only famous athletes can do good for thier communitys). I would bet a fairly large sum, that it isn't 5 % of  any individual on the patriots roster.

In Response to Re: Pats get caught cheating.... AGAIN : Sherrif Goodell punishing for an appearance being undermined is what happened. And boy don't you look stupid: Jets coach Eric Mangini says the Jets have regularly shot tape from both end zones at home and on the road since Mangini's arrival last season. They also give permission to do likewise to any visiting team at Giants Stadium, Mangini said. “We do it every (game), regardless of playoff (or) preseason, just like we do it every day in practice," Mangini said. “It's not really that big a deal. In fact NFL's Greg Aiello on the Jets taping from the Patriots mezzanine: "It is not uncommon for visiting team video crews to request permission to shoot coaching video from both upper end zone positions," spokesman Greg Aiello wrote in an email . "Home clubs must provide visiting clubs with equal vantage points for the taping of games. Teams typically shoot coaching video from one upper 50-yard line location and one upper end zone location, but there are no restrictions on shooting from both upper end zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams. No permission is needed from the league office ." lol, its so much fun poking crazy in the eye.  It has nothing to do with me or any other NFL organization.  It has to do with the patsies cutting corners on chirren.  stick to the main point.  I give you guys the official facebook page and it shows kids running around with players and mascots.  Some of them even on the stadium turf where their team plays.  We can argue about this till training camp but I will not.  Pats did some damage to the kids.  own up to it, dont try to disprove it by saying it was another organizations fault or the teachers fault or NFL play 60s fault... GEEZ some of you all are some real chowderhead morons.

For the record, the Fuel Up to Play 60 program sponsored by the Council does not have a player appearance component.
