The guy is built like Anquan Boldin -- big, physical frame, tough to bump at the L.O.S., and can win a jump ball. Only difference is that he has speed to go with it.

kids got a big frame too, should be able to absorb hits without much injury concern

Like last year after the Tavon Wilson pick, the Harmon choice was like gallons of ice cold water being thrown on Patriots Nation.

KSU WR Chris Harper is the closest thing that I've seen to Boldin in this draft class.

    WR Josh Boyce ?

Not a bad choice, at this juncture. The kid is fast...and would have had better stats, had he played with a better QB last year.

This wr is really strong .

Boyce did 22 reps on the bench ...

In comparison OLB Jamie Collins did 19 .

Nice, I like both of the WR picks. I'm a bit surprised they haven't taken a DT yet, BB must feel pretty good about Armstead and Kelly.

Boyce is more than a slot receiver.  I have been watching TCU games a lot in the last few years and he is definitely one of the best offensive players that has come out of that system.  Very versatile, having lined up in the backfield at RB, lined up in the slot, on the outside, has done some returns.  He has the school record for TD receptions and is a very smart player.  I think this was a great pick by the Pats.

No, off-topic, negative, substance-less posts brand you a troll.  This thread has nothing to do with Harmon.  Go complain about it in one of the 5 other threads going about it.

I can't guess. Part of me would like BB to take a shot on Da'Rick Rogers, but that could be unlikely seeing as he has already taken 2 WRs. I'm guessing something along the lines of OL/DL depth.

MICHAEL BUCHANON?  What is Bill thinking!  He would have still been there at 235, but Bill just THREW AWAY pick number 226 on him!  He was probably gambling that Garret Gilkey would still be there at 235, but now that's bit him on the ass!

Man, what a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PICK!

Buchanan is a good height/length type kid (6-5 255), versatile... athletic... he'll compete with the rest of the edge players on the roster.

NFL Draft Draft Home | Draft Tracker | Team Reports | Prospect Reports   #99
Michael Buchanan Int Yds TDs 1 0 0   Team:  Illinois Fighting Illini Height: 6-6 Born: Position: DL Weight: 240 Hometown: Homewood, IL Class-Eligibility: Sr-Sr

SCOUTING REPORT Buchanan seemed poised to be a first- or second-round pick after an impressive junior season in 2011, but his draft stock plummeted after a disappointing 2012. Playing opposite Whitney Mercilus - the Texans' first-round pick a year ago - Buchanan had 7 1/2 sacks and 13 1/2 tackles for loss as a junior. Those numbers dropped to 4 1/2 sacks and seven tackles for loss a year later. Part of the problem had to do with Mercilus being gone, so offenses could focus more of their attention on Buchanan. Another possible reason for the drop-off in production was Buchanan - in the summer before his senior season - being involved in a fight leaving him with a broken jaw. His jaw was wired shut and he was forced to eat all his meals through a straw for a week. The liquid diet caused him to lose 20 pounds. He was already a bit on the lighter side for a defensive end, and the weight loss certainly didn't help. He was often pushed around by stronger offensive linemen and had a hard time creating separation. Despite the down season, he was still invited to the scouting combine, but did little to impress. He had just 22 reps in the bench press, a pretty paltry number for a player at a position that is supposed to generate fear. For a player with such high expectations heading into 2012, Buchanan has tumbled down draft boards and it seems he'll get selected in one of the final rounds - if at all.
