Pats should consider trading Wilfork.

The Pats should consider trading Wilfork for Picks and/or players. Kyle love and Deadrick could do the job for alot less. With that free money, the Pats can keep Talib, look at players like Cromartie, maybe even a William Moore from Atlanta to fill the safety position.
The Pats passing D is close to last in the league, might as well get something for Wilfork while the value is still there and spread the wealth around.

Yes trade the best interior lineman in the NFL and our best player on defense. That makes perfect sense.

Why stop with Wilfork? You might as well go all in and trade Brady as well. Think of the possibilities!

-_-...To mention Kyle Love and Brandon Deadrick in the same sentence as Vince Wilfork is to mention Mark Sanchez in the same sentence as Tom Brady. -_-...
Turrible.

Big Vince will get us a one, Brady will fetch 2 ones and 2 twos and BB will get is a one as well. Four first round pick just like that.
Six high picks with wonder boy making the selection. Can you say Championship!!!!!

For a team sorely lacking defensive leadership...to then trade the unquestioned leader of the D, as well as one of the more senior members of the team at all...I'm not seeing how this helps the youngest D in the NFL get better.

He's the best player on a pathetically average defense and you want to trade him?? He plays hurt, injured...and does it well. He may of had three of the best games you could ever ask of a defensive lineman (Houston, Jets and Houston again).
I have very little confidence that we would use the money we save from his contract on players in free agency that would be better. I can see it now...we go and sign 15 defensive tackles that should of retired four years ago - then we cut half of them before camp ends - and put the rest on the pup. And with the draft picks...what's to prevent us from drafting another Rasi Dowling or Chung?

Forgot they were all pro. Of course trade Wilfork. Couldn't believe how blind I was. Totally thought I saw Love and Deaderick getting destroyed at the line

Nahh, I'd keep Wilfork, Dennard, Jones, and Hightower. Maybe Spikes and Mayo too. The rest of the guys could go, especially Love and Deadrick, those guys stink. Can't get rid of Wilfork.
