I assume he's more a camp body to assist in practice and a potential replacement for Aiken if Aiken gets injured during the season.  But BB will give him a fair chance to compete for Aiken's role too.

Absolutely...BB doesn't believe in just giving a starter's position to anyone...look what happend to Mesko last year...and our long snapper committed beacoup errors towards the end of last season...

    Thank god.

Thought they were a bit shallow in that position. Now just one more long snapper for the practice squad and I will able to sleep at night once more.

Cornering the market. When BB finishes collecting them all,  imagine how much trade value each will have......sweeeet!!

I was hoping for a combo long snapper / D lineman.

BB must not like something, or he has value in another position, too.

make no doubt about it.. the SB comes down to this.. the most important decision a team can make is on the long snapper! one bad snap and thats the difference between game ending field goal and going home like a jabro!

The difference is that they just signed Clay Aiken to a new contract.

    He's a freakin' long-snapper.

Now, only once we shore up on the equipment manager position will I believe that BB truly "gets it" and we will be on our way get that 4th ring.

Meh.  Kraft is too cheap to extend him for what he's worth.  Just another one of the many downfalls of the Patriots way of doing business.

Well, I will say this, the first O linemen that also masters the long snap....will have a job for 10+ years......
