Pat's sign LS Danny Aiken. Pretty versatile player...

Seems like the perfect kind of player for BB.  This guy seems like an all around athlete that can do what ever is asked of him... not just a long snapper.  It looks like BB liked him over Dearth.

He was even a QB in college, as well as a TE, DE and even a punter...

    Here's his Bio:

Versatile player who has seen action all over the field in his career ... spent a post grad year at Fork Union Military Academy last season where he played tight end and was the team's long snapper ... very reliable and accurate long snapper ... also saw some time at defensive end and punter ... two stars by Rivals ... rated as the 95th-best player in Virginia by the Roanoke Times as a senior quarterback at Cave Spring High School in 2005 ... completed 60 passes for 894 yards and eight touchdowns while guiding the team to a 10-2 record that season ... he also rushed for 402 yards and eight touchdowns ... rushed for two touchdowns in a double overtime playoff game, including the game winner in the second overtime period.

There you go. Got a LS, a Special teamer, and possibly some TE action. 3 for 1 deal at a low rookie salary. Good job BB.

Now go out and get a top flight safety with all that money you're saving.

More on Danny Aiken ... he was ranked No.1 LS in the 2011 Draft:

03/28/2011 - Virginia Pro day: With Dowling sidelined, personnel from 20 NFL teams watched 13 Cavaliers and three players from area small schools work outdoors on FieldTurf, with long snapper Danny Aiken (6-5, 245) generating significant interest. Aiken will be drafted ??? likely in the later rounds ??? and 13 years from now, some NFL team will be looking for his replacement. He's got the look of a successful career long snapper, and did a fine job at the combine distributing the ball in drills. At his pro day, Aiken clocked the 40-yard dash in 5 seconds, and registered a 32-inch vertical jump and 8-8 broad jump. He ran 4.67 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.45 in the three-cone drill. He also tallied 13 lifts in the 225-pound bench press. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

Can't we bring back Lonie Paxton somehow? I've got a #66 jersey in my closet  just gathering dust!
