Are you complaining about the GM who has let others walk and has had maybe one or two actually have good years in other organizations. GM BB has let many go who never had any where the success they did in NE. I suspect WW will have a good year in Denver and maybe as good as he did in NE but I also suspect the Pats saw he was appreciably slower this past year and went with the younger guy.
BTW the Broncos are going to have to some what change their offense to make use of WW the way the Pats did. Where as with the Pats and DA it will be plug and play.

If the Pats are serious about making another SB run, then there was no reason to let Welker go for 12 mill over 2 years. Now, I was against the Pats paying something ridiculous for Wes at the expense of other holes to fill, like re-signing Talib.
But this is poor managment and personnel decision making on the Patriots. No if's or but's.
It's pretty simple, dude. He's a younger and cheaper player. End of story. The skill set is the same, the only differences are the health factor and the QB each played with.
Amendola was also one of the guys people would key on when playing them, where Welker was one of many potential weapons for Brady.
Your attachment to Welker, which is understood, is blinding you from seeing the investment in a younger and cheaper player who will actually make Brady better since Brady won't be locked on to Amendola as much he was on Welker.

Ramses Barden, David Nelson, Kevin Walter come to mind as guys ( maybe more than one of them) who can compete for red zone touches.

danny amendola is just as healthy right now as welker is and is 6 years younger....until and if danny gets hurt, to cry about his past injury issues is pointless.
even welker and brady had major injuries, they happen. none of you are worried about gronk getting injured are ya? amendola suffered two freak injuries, like gronk did....

I believe its a million dollar difference between Welker and Amendola, which is chump change in the NFL. Amendola may be younger, but he's been injury prone for most of his career.

The job of a GM is to put a competitive team on the field, BB has done that at a consistent, long term level better than most anybody... unfortunately, there are some unrealistic fans out there that think NE will/should win the SB every season... there's nothing that can be done to satiate those fans.

Welker for 2nd 6 years ago had guys like you screaming with anger. Buy players on the upside not on the downside. I hope you don't invest in stocks......
Danny Amendola has played 12 games in 2 seasons because of injuries. If this is your upside, then I would hate too see your downside.
Buying potential is sometimes better than buying an older player on the back nine.
118 Receptions is not the back nine.

Did anyone think Welker would become what he did when signed 5 years ago? NOT!!! When you have TB throwing to you, you know you have catchable footballs coming your way a lot... Amendola has the potential, given good health, to be a Welker clone as everyone in inclined to predict. Add a healthy Edelman and everyone else, could be interesting!

Well, the thing is, they are LOADED on guys who can do short/intermediate routes. They got locked down in the AFCCG fairly well, and if Welker had busted that game open and won it, maybe he would still be with the team. HE DIDN'T. Just like he DIDN'T bust open the Superbowl. SO, when it counts, he got neutralized. So he was not worth the big money he wanted. From what I read, the news around is that Welker wasn't going to take that same money from the Pats as he took from Denver, he wanted more and just settled for less to go somewhere where he could haunt them a bit. It's obvious the Patriots were not that excited by the idea of keeping him, as their actions this summer and since indicate. Whatever that reason was, they went out and got someone decent, and for a good amount of time.
