Pats STILL cannot put an opponent away

Game in Buffalo pathetic - up 17-3 at the begining of the 4th quarter even a field goal would have sealed the game, and the Pats offense response?? THREE straight 3 and outs, the only first down of the quarter being with 2 minutes remaining. Basically through 14 games this season the Patriots have sealed a game only three times, TEN, CAR, and TAMPA

Did we lose? I must have missed it. You do realize that Brady is playing injured and so is much of the O line.

So do the other 6 wins count any less?

Did he say we lost? He said we can't put teams away and we didn't. We don't want a 2nd half offensive performance, like that, against Indy or SD, in the playoffs, because in all likely hood they will score more than 7pts a half.

A win is great, but you have to be better than that, against bad teams, when you have good teams, coming up in the playoffs.

The way I saw it, the D put the game away with more than 5 mins to go. They prevented Buffalo from scoring, leaving Buffalo with less than 5 mins to score two TDs to tie. All that NE had to do then was get a 1st down during the rest of the game and they win. In other words, they built enough of a cushion that despite Buffalo rallying and NE sputtering on offense, they still won.
