    Potential free agent targets

I've compiled a list of possibilities in free agency based off our criteria for what we tend to look for.

    WR

    Lavelle Hawkins

    Josh Cribbs

    Santana Moss

    TE

    Dallas Clark

    Winston Justice

    DE

    Frostee Rucker

    !att Shaughnessy

    DT

    Ryan Pickett

    Clifton Geathers

Gary Gibson (Debbie Gibson's brother, so you know there's value all day there)

    Landon Cohen

    OLB

Michael Boley (did you know he's still alive?)

    Will Herring

    ILB

Nick Barnett (this guy used to be pretty good, so he won't come cheap)

D.J. Williams (might be out of our price range)

    CB

    Aaron Berry

    Josh Wilson

    Safety

Ed Reed (got to land him before he's dead, it's now or we'll have to Weekend At Bernie's him)

    Sergio Brown

I think if we can do this we will stay competitive and have a chance to win the AFC east. And that's what matters.

Don't you need cap space in order to sign FAs?

    Re: Potential free agent targets

After the Hernandez fiasco, the Pats should have signed Dallas Clark who was just sitting out there for the taking until almost the start of the season.  Instead the GM thought Zach Sudfield was the way too go.

Ed Reed made too much sense for the Pats this season, so the GM thought it best not too sign him.  My guess is the Pats GM might wait a few more years to sign Reed.

But that list doesn't look too promising.  I would hope the Pats look at Jacoby Jones and maybe a Riley Cooper. Boldin would be a dream.

Nah Jacoby is too young and fast, that isn't what we look for. Last year we signed Michael Jenkins, that's the type you need to focus on. Do you know what Michael Jenkins nickname is? It's molases. That's the truth, you can google it. The guy was awesome here.

Good point, he also is a pretty good kick returner which is something the Pats shouldn't have anything too do with.

Even though Molases Mike was pretty slow, word in preseason was he was working well with Brady, that's probably why BB cut him.

With that above list of FAs you really don't need cap space, they'll pay the Pats to play here....what kind of list is that!

SS is all I would recommend BB making a play for unless there's one that will be there to draft in round 1.

I still say New England cashes in on Cannon for a second and draft a G or C because they'll lose Cannon at the end of the season no matter what happens.
