    Practice Squad Projection

Understanding that they may reach outside to other team's cuts to add to the PS, and that some of these players could get signed by someone else, here is one projection:

    DB Sergio Brown
    TE Carson Butler
    WR Darnell Jenkins
    OL Ted Larsen
    OL George Bussey
    QB Zac Robinson
    OL Thomas Welch
    DB DeAngelo Willingham

I wonder if after a good game vs NY Giants and "good" preseason if Darnell Jenkins will slip through waivers.....

I could see a St. Louis picking him up, they lost a couple WRs in preseason.

i don't see Robinson on the list or Butler, but Farnham should be, they used him on offense and defense and STs.

Robinson sucked bad in comparison to last when Hoyer made the team

You may be right about Robinson, but then i think they may need to go outside to find a different QB.  If they're only carrying two on the roster, don't they need at least one on the PS.

Personally I wasn't impressed with Farnham.  He looked overmatched against the other scrubs from what I saw of him.  He looks like a poor man's Slater, and Slater is not a good football player.  My opinion anyway.

    Re: Practice Squad Projection

At the least, the Patriots should begin filling out their eight-man practice squad as players begin clearing waivers Sunday. It is also possible that the club could have changes to its 53-man roster based on waiver claims.

Players on practice squads earn $5,200 per week for the 2010 season. As for who is eligible, the following rules apply:

    1. Players without an accrued season of NFL experience.

    2. Free-agent players who were on the 45-man active list for fewer than nine regular-season games during their only accrued season.

    3. Players who have not served more than two previous seasons on a practice squad.

Patriots players released/waived yesterday who are eligible include:

    RB Chris Taylor
    S Sergio Brown
    T George Bussey
    TE Carson Butler
    RB Thomas Clayton
    WR Buddy Farnham
    WR Darnell Jenkins
    C Ted Larsen
    TE Rob Myers
    G Rich Ohrnberger
    WR Rod Owens
    QB Zac Robinson
    S Ross Ventrone
    OT Thomas Welch
    ILB Thomas Williams
    CB DeAngelo Willingham

WHY IS SLATOR STILL A PATRIOT /
( Wonder if dad jackie 's got incriminating photos from the past of BB )

I gotta believe once a player is claimed off waivers he's the first one to go.

    Agent: Patriots claim OT Maneri

    September, 5, 2010
    By Mike Reiss

The Patriots have claimed offensive tackle Steve Maneri off waivers from the Houston Texans, agent Ed Wasielewski said on Twitter.

Maneri (6-7, 290) is a rookie out of Temple who played tight end in college. NFL teams had been interested in him as a tight end and tackle in the pre-draft process.

After going undrafted, Maneri elected to sign with the Texans because he wanted to play tackle. He lined up primarily at left tackle in the preseason.

This marks the second straight year that the Patriots have gone the waiver route to claim a tackle, as Mark LeVoir was claimed from the Rams in 2009.

The Patriots have Matt Light (left) and Sebastian Vollmer (right) as their starting tackles, with LeVoir and Quinn Ojinnaka the top reserves. In claiming Maneri, the Patriots will have to make a corresponding roster move to stay within the NFL's 53-man roster limits.

Sounds a bit like Welch.  Similar size and was a TE as well.
