    Pre-Draft Visits/Workouts

Ok, I stole this from another site but it's the most completely list I've found so far so here it is, btw I'm going to need help keeping it updated so if you see some players missed let me know and I'll update it:

V - Official Pre-Draft visit; visited team facilities/hosted by team in area
PW - Private workout held with prospect
AW - Attended open workout on Campus
C - Position Coach or Coordinator contact
MC - Team has spoken to player or agent or had on-Campus visit; miscellaneous contact
APD - Team official has attended Pro-Day
    I - Interviewed at Combine/All-Star game
    RI - Rumoured interest

NB: All players in larger font, and Bold, Italic and Underline, have met the "Three Contact Rule". To meet the TCR, a prospect must have three confirmed contacts (RI does not count). The TCR implies that the Patriots are very very interested in them, and there's a very good chance we'll draft them. Don't take it for granted though.

Now, just realize not all this is a smoke screen as the Pats have typically have taken 2+ players from this list within the first 2 days every year for the last 4 years. Odds are that at least 1-2 players will come from this list

    Re: Pre-Draft Visit's

One thing strikes me the number of D players vs O players. It basically shows you that they are thinking pretty heavily on the D side of the ball this year. Names I've seen that get me excited:

    Brockers
    Ingram
    Perry
    Wolfe
    Rainey

I don't know what it is with this kid Wolfe, but I think he'll make an outstanding pro. He may not be ready to handle an nfl running game yet, but I think he'll develop into a very very good player for some 34 team...hopefully it'll be us.

Thanks for posting this PatsEng. One question who is NC who attended South Florida's pro day with BB?

Great post Eng.  How far do you think Ingram would have to fall before BB would actually take the plunge and trade up for him?  I have a hard time believing that we would give up both 1st rounders...

Well i don't think Ingram will make it to a point where BB would trade up honestly. The Jets have been rumored to want to trade up for Ingram and it looks like the first spot that you can trade up is Car at #9. It would take quite a bit to move up that far. Short of that Ingram might be the best DE/OLB in this years draft and there is a shot he's the first front 7 player to be taken in the draft. I doubt he makes it out of the top 15. Seems like BB doing his homework incase Ingram should slip. I'd say though if he slips to a point where all it would take is #63 and #27 to move up then BB would move up to grab him. Esp considering that BB most likely will trade back #31 for a pick somewhere around #63 anyways and a future pick.

McClellin seems like a much more realistic option at this point

Omar Bolden not completely healthy. I spoke with him about a week ago. Did not play last year. Diamond in the ruff. 5th round steal

Good thread, Eng, appreciate it.  I agree there are some eye-opening names on that list.  Wouldn't we all be surprised if BB made a move to grab Ingram were he to be within his reach?  And, yes, speculating about all of this is a great diversion from the mundane.

With Ras already having injury issues I'm not sure I'd want to run the risk of having 2 CB's with leg issues on the roster at the same time. That's a lot of faith to put into a position that has historically been injury prone already for the Pats. I have Bolden with a round 3 grade but might not take him myself until the late 5th given the left knee ACL tear last year. Since that's the round I'd be hopeful to grab Rainey, then I'd only take a shot at Bolden with an extra 5th and if they didn't already grab a DB earlier in the draft truthfully. It's hard to tell if he regained the fluidity before the injury of the the injury will have an adverse affect on his mobility at this point
