And gives them the benefit of the doubt.
How much different is the situation between Johnny Jolly and Nick Kaczur? Significant.
Although both possessed copious amounts of codeine or codeine related drugs, Jolly has been suspended for an entire season while Kaczur didn't miss a day.
Imagine if someone like Lane Kiffen had been caught taping. He'd probably been shot on the spot. -

Not really. Goodell realized his perpetuating the Spygate witch hunt was completely unfair, so he gave NE a break on Kazcur.
Glad I could help.
Why haven't Braylon Edwards (fight), Ronnie Brown (DUI), Vince Young (fight) or Cedric Benson (fight) been suspended yet?
So, I guess now you can get into a fight in a public facility as an NFL player and it doesn't matter?
Goodell's inconsitencies are nothing new, just like when he turned his head in 2006 when Miami and the NYJ used "technology" in apparent league violations, to gather scouting info on the Patriots.
It's all well and good when a team who can try to take down NE is guilty of it not charged, but when NE is involved it needs to be a slam dunk, Draconian style ruling.
Finally, taping is legal for all 32 teams in the NFL. FACT. -

I don't know why anyone would defend him, JimmyJack or Shats. They are essentially the same kind of fan. They're jealous, need attention and don't have a clue about certain aspects of the NFL. -

The key element here, no matter for which team you root, is inconsistency.
Most reasonable people will tell you that they can adjust to virtually any set of rules, so long as those rules are applied consistently to all parties involved. The counter-argument to this is that there are usually some form of "extenuating circumstances" (like Kaczur dropping dime, for instance) which turn the black and white rules into a random kaleidoscope of varying shades of grey. -

Only in your world would the most severe punishment in NFL history, minus the missing punishment for the Denver Broncos moving Elway and Terrell Davis's contracts off the books TWO YEARS IN A ROW to sign Neil Smith, amongst others, would equate to a "slap on the wrist".
Holy mackerel. Do you ever make sense? Like, ever?

If I remember correctly the 6 teams taped in spygate were the Jets, Steelers, Dolphins, Browns, Bills and Chargers. That's 6 of 32 teams in the league, and no where on this list are the Colts. That means we beat your a$s with talent and leadership all those years. A$sh013 -

Wrong, Jack-A-Tool.
Braylon Edwards, Cedric Benson and Vince Young got into fights in the offseason.
Big Ben assaulted an under age girl and only got 4 games for a suspension.
Ronnie Brown is paying off the local Miami courts to avoid a DUI.
Joey Porter did the same thing in Arizona two months ago.
Apparently, Rogie Goodell doesn't know if he's coming or going and can't figure out what is a violation and what isn't.
We heard collecting technology from a game for future scouting purposes later on is completely legal. This was via Goodell's office in 2006. He also did nothing when NY was asked to shut down a camera from field level in Foxborough in 2006.
So, it appears there is a consistency issue with ol' Rogie. He plays tough in one spot and then turns his head elsewhere. -

Note how the only road game from the field was SD in 2002.
AFTER they won the SB. Everything else was at home from the stands, which as we know is totally legal.
This tells me NE was blocked from being given the right to film from a specified location because they were granted one in Pitt in January of 2002 during the AFC Title game.
Why would Pitt grant them a spot if it wasn't legal or somehow a mystery advantage?
Interesting isn't it? Could it be, teams didn't allow the road team (when they chose to not allow it for whatever reason) to film which is technically illegal, so teams just filmed from the sideline?
Ohhhhhhh.....I think it is! -

People who say that the Pats received a "slap on the wrist" for Spygate must equate beheadings with slaps on the wrist.
It was an over-the-top, ridiculous, excessive, historic punishment.
It was like being sentenced to 10 years in prison for jaywalking.
Go away, ignorant trolls. -

But maybe im wrong and you really do buy into the crap morons like ESPN are selling. How should the Pats have been punished? kicked out of the NFL forever? Belichick should have what? been banned? give me a break. They took a first round! even with out all the fines they paid that alone should be harsh enough they took a 1st round pick! do you have any idea how valuable those picks are? they are worth millions of dollars and you dont think that was enough? And Kazcur turned in a drug dealer and got off easy with the police let alone the NFL. The NFL stayed out of it because im sure the police told them to or something along those lines. I know people get under other skin and force people to say stupid crap sometimes but come on man you are better then that crap.

He's not, though. He took the media bait, as did every other team's fans who lost to NE at some point in the last 10 years, as a way to make themselves feel better about their own team's failures.
He posts here because he is jealous of NE's success.
And fearful that BB and Brady are still that great and ready to make another run. -

A. i barely ever watch ESPN
B. i believe BB should have been fined more and suspended just like a player would be and that the pats and more specifically kraft should have been fined...and if only setting an example for the rest of the league to follow, the punishments needed to be strongers
C. im not sure how the cops could have legally kept the NFL out of it...maybe kazcur was rewarded for honesty late in the perverbial game...i dont know...but as is...seems like he got off scott free and that seems odd to me
D. small children such as crusty do not get under my skin...reasonable arguments do -

Why should BB have been suspended or fined more if the Jets (as one example we know of who violated a location of a camera) were not fined in 2006?
Your problem is, you forced yourself to beleive the act of filming one's game, and any aspects of the game, is somehow illegal, when in fact, that is not correct. It's legal.
BB was guilty of the equivalent of speeding.
It was a Draconian ruling (look up the term since I know you have no idea what it means). -

If NE didn't reference the tapes in question or break procedure, other than not positioning the camera man correctly ON THE ROAD, where it is clear teams tried to block a road team from filming legally, there is no advantage. And hence, no "cheating ".
When are the trolls gonig to explain where the cheating is? Has anyone, whether it be a troll or an NFL analyst every even explained where they advantage is, if NE themselves are being filmed by the opponent?
What is scary is these idiots think the act of filming a game is the cheating part. Otherwise, where is the advantage if all teams film one another?
This is why the Jets tried to claim NE was running off into a locker roomin Week 1 in 2007, and within 12 mintues, somehow have signals translated, broken down and used in the game that day. Hilarious.
Yeah, and pigs can fly too, retahds.
That was an outright lie as we all know.
This is how desperate teams and trolls are. They don't even make sense. They just attach a word to the witch hunt and the media ran with it.
Kraft could have sued everyone for libel, including the Boston Herald. But, he's too classy for that and he's not going to put the team above the league. -

correct me if im wrong here...but i dont think anyone here and certainly not myself made the association between the only reason the pats are good is because they are cheating
personally...i think brady is the 2nd best QB to ever to play the position behind marino...i think brady has a heck of alot more to do with the teams success than BB, kraft, spy gate or any other XYZ reason
also...i wouldnt say there is alot of proof that goodell loves the pats...but they make him alot of money and that alone is enough to raise reasonable doubt -

And if not if you are just saying that he loves teams that make him money then wouldnt it be fair to say rather that Goodel does love the Pats but in fact loves whoever makes him the most money? Or that he loves anyone who makes him money? And if thats the case then he loves every team in the NFL cause they all make him money.

im not saying that at all...
my point is...you dont sh*t where you eat...goodell knows this and would never do anything to even remotely give the pats a reason to look at him funny -
