    Raiders looking to trade

@Adam_Schefter Raiders listened to trade offers for OLB Thomas Howard and CB Chris Johnson but, at least for time being, opted against trading them.

    Re: Raiders looking to trade

Raiders are always looking to trade with the Patriots.  Problem is, every game the Raiders lose moves them from, say, pick number 4 in the 2011 draft to pick number 2.  So, the Patriots have no interest whatsoever in making the Raiders better this year.  Now, giving them a 2011 draft pick, absolutely.

I would jump at a trade for Thomas Howard, he is apretty damn good OLB, but he probably would not come cheap.

He is a 43 OLB. That means he is essentially useless here.

    zbellino is right
a 4-3 OLB would typically be used as a ILB in our system, and i like what we got goin' there

    Re: Raiders looking to trade

OK, but look at his intangibles
6-3 240, he could bulk up if needed.
Hasn't missed a game since being drafted, is going into his 5th year. He is one of the fastest Linebackers in the league. Now, he isn't much of a pass rusher, but that is because he was never asked to rush the passer. This guy is talented and we lack talent at this position.

If he was available for a 3rd round pick , I'd scoop him up, but I seriously doubt they would give him up for such a small price. We need good OLB play and Thomas Howard is a good OLB. Albeit, a 4-3 OLB but still, he would give us at least one guy other then TBC on the edge that is talented.

    Re: Raiders looking to trade

why?  If they are willing and have a talented player we need, why not?  It's a nice resource, and you don't have to worry about meeting up with them in the post season any more
