Reading between the lines Pat's vs Jet's

Fact:  Pat's play their worst game against the team that's now being called the team to beat in the AFC, and they still had a chance to pull out a win with less than 2 minutes left!

Better to get the things fixed now than when it's too late in November and December.  Pat's look very bad and can not afford to lose many more if they want to make the playoffs so hopefully they can come out and destroy the Facons to make a statement and get this season rolling.

    Signed,

Re: Reading between the lines Pat's vs Jet's

That is why I avoid espn. The talking heads jump on the flavor of the week and annoint them the team to beat.. It is a long season, and the Pats are built for the long haul it takes to get through it.. The cap makes it tough to be deep across the roster, and sometimes they leave themselves thin at some positions. WR a few years ago, and LB this year.
The Jet's have played well for 2 weeks, if they can keep it up they deserve what they will earn. But for Ryan to delclare that they are a team to be respected after 2 weeks is BS. You have earned 2 wins - nothing more - nothing less. Keep it up for the whole season and you will earn that respect. As for the Pat's - they know the ins and outs of a long season, and understand its a process not a sprint. We will see if the Jet's can keep it up, avoid some critical injuries and play this well for a full season. How quickly they forget - last year weren't the Jet's 8-3 at one point - where did it get them?

i'm really hoping they show improvements against the falcons.

also, are we underestimating the home-field advantage the jets had? everybody is saying that the jets are the new ravens, that sanchez is hall-of-fame bound, that the patriots are a mediocre team. it's so early in the season and then everything gets blown out of proportion.

You're right.  Jets were one of the best teams last yr around mid-season and then tanked.  When will people learn that you play 16 regular season games and then playoffs.  No matter how good you are, you can't win a Super Bowl until late Jan / early Feb

Also, the Patriots had a short week and the Jets didn't.
A lot of little things and the Patriots could be 2-0 and the Jets 1-1. No reason to drink the lime Kool-Aid.

Everyone should remember how the Jets were viewed last season after beating the Pats in the Razor and Titans back to back.  They shot to the top of the power rankings in many circles and we know how the season ended for the Jets!  That's why the season lasts 16 games, not TWO!
