To funny Rusty.  This game was EXACTLY like the Pats recent playoff failures.  Offense starts out fast and then fades in the second half BUT they still have a lead.  All they need is that ONE defensive stand by the D.   Balt got it and won the Super Bowl, NE did not and they lost 2 Super Bowls.

yea the ravens really saved flacco by allowing 23 points in the second half.....they made a goalline stop by having their cornerbacks hold the 9ers receivers in the end zone, yea real impressive.....oh and btw, if you want to talk about goalline stands, didnt the pats defense do that in last years afc title game? oh yeah, they did.....so did they "bail out" brady that game? apparently they did by your awful logic. and in the super bowl, they had no choice but to let the giants score because the giants were trying to run the clock down more to give the pats offense no shot. its just mindblowing that you fools continue to back the offense when they have been the problem in the playoffs for awhile now.

It's fascinating, isn't it? They're so madly in love with Brady, they think 14, 13 or 17 points in postseason games is plenty of points in this day and age.

Meanwhile, a small group have run around here making excuses for our own offense's failures, which actually have been the root cause of the playoff losses, not the D.

The Ravens won because Flacco>Kaepernick.  Brady has always been WORSE than the other QB in each of our bad playoff losses.  The Washers here were quick to see our own D was so abysmal and be referencing points allowed, etc, even if our own QB or offense would turn it over, sometimes multiple times.

As you can see, when SF turned it over last night, multiple times, it affected their own D.

Not so fantastic with a bad offense for an entire half and turnovers, huh? Imagine if our D gave up 21 points in the first half in a SB?

The Washers would have BB strung up here, thread after thread.

which generally means more scoring.

I don't care for either QB but they did play well.

Still, it DID come down to one final defensive stop by an old, tired, and injured RAVENS DEFENSE, to win that game.

Without that one goal line stand, all Flacco's and his offenses efforts (((((while holding on to a slim lead))))))) would have failed.  Sound familiar?

Umm, an odd power outage taking away momentum from the Ravens or flat out horrendous game management by Kaerpernick at the end has nothing to do with the "Ravens D". They got toasted as an old D that was clearly gassed. It was a game of two halves that came down to a rookie QB choking on 3 plays from the 5 yard line.

Also, the call at the end was very borderline, too.  If any one of our DBs did that, it's a 1st and goal from the 1 and a fresh set of downs.

Yes in the last two Super Bowls the Pats had the lead and all the defense had to do was make ONE stop and they couldn't......but thats Brady's fault.  Talk about mindblowing.

Brady had the lead in 2 low scoring low possession games.  The D failed to make a stop with seconds left with a narrow lead. 

Last nights higher scoring 13 possession game (5 more scoring opportunities) came down to 1 stop with seconds left.

Balt made the stop and the Pats didn't,  Case closed!

Get it right cloneboy. I haven't exclusively blamed the D for the Ravens' loss. I've blamed poor running, poor blocking, receivers failing to get open, dropped passes and poor defense for the loss. I'm certainly not going to give Brady a gold star for the game but when you're the only guy on the team doing much of anything well it's not fair to group you in with the rest of the terrible performers.
