and yes, i know the pats offense scores 41 on the texans, so its not like they were shut down all playoffs. but the fact that they scored 41, makes it even more frustrating they they could only manage 13 points the next week.

To funny Rusty.  This game was EXACTLY like the Pats recent playoff failures.  Offense starts out fast and then fades in the second half BUT they still have a lead.  All they need is that ONE defensive stand by the D.   Balt got it and won the Super Bowl, NE did not and they lost 2 Super Bowls.

Can you imagine if the Pats only scored 6 points (2 FG) the whole second half of the Super Bowl???  You would be all over them.  Difference here is the Balt D saved Flacco's butt.  To bad NE D coudlnt make one stop when it really mattered....

yea the ravens really saved flacco by allowing 23 points in the second half.....they made a goalline stop by having their cornerbacks hold the 9ers receivers in the end zone, yea real impressive.....oh and btw, if you want to talk about goalline stands, didnt the pats defense do that in last years afc title game? oh yeah, they did.....so did they "bail out" brady that game? apparently they did by your awful logic. and in the super bowl, they had no choice but to let the giants score because the giants were trying to run the clock down more to give the pats offense no shot. its just mindblowing that you fools continue to back the offense when they have been the problem in the playoffs for awhile now.

Yes in the last two Super Bowls the Pats had the lead and all the defense had to do was make ONE stop and they couldn't......but thats Brady's fault.  Talk about mindblowing.

in the 2007 super bowl, ill give you that the pats made a play at the end to take the lead. but that was still only their second td ALL GAME...

Right cloneboy. But did you forget Brady got sacked 5 times and hit around 20+ times that game? Your sick and depraved agenda is showing Rusty Clone.

Did you forget that despite that hammering his O-line caused him, and the lead back getting 2.6 ypc, he still managed a TD pass and 266 yards with no picks, plus hit Moss with the clutch go ahead score near the end?

Retire from football talk. You embarrass yourself with nearly every word Rusty Clone. Find a good tiddly winks forum to play the fool in.

    LOL

As you can see, it's an offensive QB era, with offenses winning championships.  Besides what appeared to be offciaiting heavily favoring Baltimore at every turn, replete with false starts, ref pushing, grabbing and holding SF receivers, offense is still the way to a SB.

All we hear is how great SF and Balt's Ds are, but note how quiet the Washers are now.

The D battling and waiting around for a FG, a TD, anything in last year's SB as NE's held to 13 points is all on our offense, not our defense.

remember  who told us the Ravens would never win because it was all about "Ray Ray" and that Jim Harbaugh's "big ego" in removing Smith for Kaepernick just killed the 49ers season?

    idiot.

The only person who doesn't remember the 1,000,000 times Rusty has been wrong here is Rusty.... and maybe his clone.... and his fake accounts.

what agenda? i watch the game without blinders, unlike you. ill give you this, considering how bad the o-line was manahandles in that 07 super bowl, he played reasonably well. last years super bowl the whole offense disappeared in the 4th quarter and in this years afc title game, the offense might as well have stayed in the locker room at half time.

Hurray for the clone! See, you are capable of actually understanding something about this game if you follow instruction from your betters.

Take a bow Rusty Clone. You earned a gold star today. Keep up the good work.

As far as the rest of it...

Yeah, people dropping key passes, poor running, poor blocking and consistent failure to get open are not likely to produce great offensive results. Your only glaring stupidity here is blaming Brady for those failures of others.

    Your gold star is revoked.

    Nice self description Rusty Clone.

saw this one coming a mile away. nice rebuttle babe, as always...

What's to rebut? Your spewing nonsense with no factual bakup Rusty Clone?

factual backup?????????? the super bowl was a match-up of two of the best, most physical defenses in the league and it ended in a 34-31 score!! and you have been on here blaming the pats defense while our offense could only score 13 damn points!! the 9ers had 6 points at halftime and still found a way to score 29 points!

Because the D made ZERO rz stops.  Did the Balty D make ZERO rz stops?

yea they made a goal line stop after allowing 29 points!

how much of a difference would a goal-line stand have made for the pats if they made one at the end of the game after allowing those 28 points? would you be applauding that? i dont think so. you know what the missing piece is?

    you guessed it. THE OFFENSE.

    Good grief.  Try to understand.

The Balt O bebefited from the following plays.

A pick that resulted in 7

A KR that resulted in 7

A goal line stand (not their only one) that resulted in -7.

That is a 21 point swing that they would NOT have had unless those 3 things happened AND they would have LOST if none of them happened.  They would have lost without help from the rest of the team in crucial moments.  Do you not understand this?  WOW

The Pats D made zero goal line stands resulting  zero help for the O, zero TO's resulting in no help, zero ST plays resulting in no help.

The only thing the Pats D, did in the SB's was never get off the field resulting in 8 possession games and limited their own O's scoring opportunities.

The only thing they did in the AFCCG was none of the above.  UGH!

We just saw a rookie QB who played poorly for much of the game, help put up 29 points on a D Brady could barely muster 13 against, in one half.

And what's scary is, Kaepernick's 46.3 QBR was WORSE than Brady's against Baltimore.

    learn the game

Right Rusty. Because we KNOW only one person here has ever ranted about the shotgun spread.

i have no problem with the pats running the no-huddle shotgun spread if its productive, and during the texans game and during the first half of the ravens game, it was. but once they werent moving down the field, they got predictable and they had no answer for the ravens defense.

Talk about mindblowing.

in the 2007 super bowl, ill give you that the pats made a play at the end to take the lead. but that was still only their second td ALL GAME....tyree made one heck of a catch and the rest is history. as far as last years super bowl, there is no defending the offense. they had 17 points by the end of the 3rd quarter, and then never scored again. if anything, the defense was keeping the pats in the game by forcing the giants into settling for field goals. and as ive said on another thread, the throw eli made to manningham was one of the best throws in super bowl history. moore and chung were there, the pass was just undefendable....you know, sort of like the offense.

That's alot of excuses.  Make a stop win the game.  Make a play not excuses.

Listen to yourself. Where are your fellow BBWs today?  You seem to be on your own today, with more than enough embarrassment for you.

We just saw a rookie QB who played poorly for much of the game, help put up 29 points on a D Brady could barely muster 13 against, in one half.

And what's scary is, Kaepernick's 46.3 QBR was WORSE than Brady's against Baltimore.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Junior has just proclaimed one NFL game as the all encompassing proof of what the entire NFL is!

Do you actually take stupidity lessons junior? If find it hard to believe you are this excellent at it without grueling hours of practice. My advice; give your instructors a large tip, the lessons are working extremely well.

The board would like to know where we can fiind the word "dumbkoff" in the dictionary. Is that a word that you and your fellow ward members use at Magnolia Manor?

Time for a diaper change. Ring that bell, Baby boy.

It's American slang of the German dummkopf junior. "Stupid head".

" Dink - Catch-all term for any type of loser, idiot, fool, dumbkoff, etc." (urban dictionary)

and yes, i know the pats offense scores 41 on the texans, so its not like they were shut down all playoffs. but the fact that they scored 41, makes it even more frustrating they they could only manage 13 points the next week.

Well the rest of the team other than Brady didn't play like scared rabbits against the Texans.

brady himself was playing like a scared rabbit....how about the high kick into ed reed's groin? or him running into the ref 5 yards away from the first down? or how about him throwing the ball away when he had enough room to walk for a first down?

Just stop clone. You're not really trying to portray his high leg slide as having some sort of deep dark meaning are you? How Rustylike of you. LMAO@U

Now you're going to blame him for a dufus ref that couldn't get out of the way? Like I said. Just stop. You're getting desperate and looking like even more of a fool for it, Rusty Clone.

first off, no i didnt say there was a deep dark meaning....i just think it was a stupid play and its a bush league thing to do. you cant defend something like that....as far as the ref goes, yea he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but brady just ran into him, he had plenty of open field.

What is wrong with you? Have you received repeated blows to the head? If that is the case... then we all can understand.

Whether Brady's leg lift was intentional or bush league or whatever is MOOT to the point at hand. Really the only reason I can see for any Pats' fan to bring it up is to vent a perverse Brady bashing agenda against the greatest player this team has ever had; shame on you Rusty Clone.

Same goes for the running into the ref. He probably thought the fool was going to get out of the way in the split second and the fool crossed him up and zigged instead of zagged. Again, only a Brady bashing agenda would even bring this quirky play up as some kind of knock on Brady. Rusty Clone.

all those things happened, im not making them up.

im thinking you've taken some hits to the head considering all of your ridiculous excuses. you said some players played like "scared rabbits", but brady didnt. im just saying that that is incorrect because brady played like a little b.itch.

One thing I've noticed is the excuses change from postseason to postseason via the Ballwashers.

So, even if we concede the excuses as fair and legit arguments, they go to the next choices down the excuse Rolodex.

SB 42? Fine, the O Line was bad and the D could have made 1 play out of gas at the end. Pin it on the D, fine, even though the lack of scoring was pitiful beyond belief for an all word, season setting offense.

Ravens playoff loss?  Ok, no Welker, bad day all around for all, but Brady still threw 4 INTs.

Jets playoff loss.   11 points scored through 3 qtrs, 2 of those a Safety by the Pats D. This is where we start to get into the phase where the offense was truly WORSE than the Pats D, but because the aftereffect is the Pats D not bailing out the offense, everyone thinks the root cause is the D.

SB 46.  17 points scored, total, zero in the last 1.5 qtrs on 4+ drives.   Now, because of how the game ended, the D is blamed again, but Brady and offense get off scot free, after the D was the one that bailed out the offense just to even get to the SB.

Playoff loss in title game to Ravens. 13 points scored in the first half, many plays and points left on the field, yet somehow the fact the offense didn't do anything at all for an entire half, that didn't afffect our D allowing 21 points in the half, after 2 turnovers by the offense.

Gee, it sure seems to me that as more time goes by, the evidence lays more so within the offense underperforming more so than the D.

yep another HUGE flaw in their arguments is that they all say the defense affects the offense's ability to score, but yet they never want to admit that the offense affects's the defense.
