Rex Ryan disgusted about his QB's play

Going to take things into his own hands this weekend against the Patriots.  Feels they have a much better shot now than with Sanchez at QB.

No, this is when he threw the ball next to that mexican journalist.  what a pig of an organization, very classy.   The Pats will send them back to the stone age after Sunday.

Sanchez is the new Matt Leinart - put them together and you have Carson Palmer.

You know what's pathetic. Sanchez had far worse games than that last year so this wasn't even a bad game for his track record. He's peaking Laughing

Yeah there were alot worse games for Mr.Sanchez last year compared to the ones that happened on Monday night.

They better get over that loss because its Wednesday and im still hearing them complain and whine about the game.

what comes first, the chicken or the egg? The play calling for the Jets was putrid. Was it because Sanchez is putrid? Either game plan for the guy to throw the ball 25 times per game or game plan for him to throw 15 times per game. But if you only allow the guy 15 passes of the dink and dunk variety, dont complain that the guy only manufactured 75 yards in the passing game. Seems Rex and Shotty either dont trust him or dont think he is capable, or both.

Re: Rex Ryan disgusted about his QB's play

Green New Jersey has created a kind of reverse quarterback controversy for itself.

By moving up to draft The Sanchize and handing him the starting job without having to prove thing one, they effectively painted themselves into a corner. Jest fan likes to believe that Sanchez improved dramatically late last season and in the playoffs, but what actually happened was that the coaching staff limited his responsibilities to only those they believed he could handle (which weren't many). Conventional wisdom was that Sanchez would grow and learn and be able to handle a heavier workload this season. It's not really fair to judge after only one game, but this did not appear to be the case against Baltimore Monday night.

Now, we are hearing rumblings that there is friction among the staff and people are bandying about a potential re-emergence of the once and future Mark Brunell (can that be right? Mark Brunell?). If he's not careful, The Sanchize is going to find himself down with a severe case of what we out here on the prairie call Tarvaris Jackson Syndrome.

Correction: Sanchez's TEAM made it to the AFC title game and brought him alone for the ride. Leinart never had the team Sanchez does/did.

I do think the Jets will take several shots down field(especially at Butler) just to test the secondary. I really think we have the run D back to Patriot style. Look also for LT and Greene to get lots of short passes in an attempt to test Mayo,Spikes and Guyton.

Leinart went to the SB.  He had about as much to do with the Cards getting to the SB as Sanchez did for the Jets getting to the AFC championship.

Sanchez isn't their only problem.  Their vaunted offensive line is not the best in the AFC as they were touted to be.  Ngata ate up their left guard; their right side is suspect, and Ferguson got beat consistently.  We need to stuff Shonn Green the way the Ravens did and make him cough up the ball like Maroney did.  Whatever happens we cannot let LT get loose!
Not true, we might hate Sanchez but he was the STARTING QB for the Jets in the playoffs which way more then Leinhart ever accomplished. TrueChamp, what exactly makes you think they will try and test our D backs? We are a lot better at that spot then the Ravens are right now and the Jets didnt test them very much so I dont see them doing too much against our guys either.
    Posted by MVPkilla4life
Theoretically, it makes sense that since we're better at DB they won't let Sanchez sling it around but I'm thinking about the New York media, an apparent rift between Rex/Shotty, the fan base (and empty stadium), Sanchez' confidence, and the poor performance in Week 1. They can't go down 0-2 so will they really come out and have Sanchez just manage the game? Or would they come out and at least not go down without a fight on offense? I'm sure he'll throw a pick or two but that check-down stuff won't get it done.

And also, my take on the Baltimore game is that Sanchez had opportunities to throw it deep but he wasn't even letting the play develop. Often, he wouldn't even look deep and just check-it down because mentally, it seemed like a low-risk throw to him.

If we can hold off their running game, which no longer looks as good as the running game they had last year, we should come out with a solid victory. The last thing Im worried about in the upcoming game is their passing offense. Checkdowns wont get it done against our D.

I hope they let Sanchez air it out, it'll create more turnovers thus more opportunities for our offense to score.

Not a Jets fan but it just goes to show you how good their defense is.  With a pathetic offense like they have (and they weren't that great last year either) they still are in games.  Makes you wonder if Sanchez ever does "get it" what will happen.  Then again I can't remember anyone being so ....for the lack of a better word, pathetic.  Brady was no Payton Manning the first few years, but his numbers still look HOF like compared to Sanchez at the same points in their careers.

What is wrong with Carson Palmer? He is a very good QB whose talents were wasted by a dysfunctional organization. If Palmer had been on the Patriots, Colts or Steelers, he would have been a great QB.   Also he's had bad luck with injuries.  Don't compare him to Matt Leinart or Mark Sanchez,  he is light years better than these two clowns.

I hope Sanchez has a pedestrian game because if he is horrible again like on monday night then you'll see Kellen Clemens to start the 3rd quarter and i suspect he is a much better QB than SUKchez.
