In Response to Re: Rexs mouth runing about the Pats again:
Unfortunately, I think the Jets WILL back in to the playoffs. They have a breeze-easy schedule, and teams ahead of them, like Cincy, have nasty schedules.

    Breeze easy schedule ?!?

    KC, no problem

Philly is hit or miss. They beat the Giants bad, who we couldn't beat, and they lost bad to us. If they have a good game, they could beat the Jets

Giants are the same, although not doing well right now, they ARE capable. They played bad down the stretch in 07, except for the last reg season game w/Pats.... then won the SB

Dolphins can DEFINITELY beat the Jets. They just destroyed the Raiders, who were on a 3 game win streak (against weak teams). Their QB looked OK early, but confused, so he made a lot of dumb mistakes. It seems the game has slowed down a bit for him now & he looks like a keeper. I actually wonder if we'll beat them (if BB plays the starters)

Jets COULD lose 3 of 4 but "I" think they lose 2, to NYG & MIA

I also think TEN & CIN each lose 2
    (TEN to NO/HOU & CIN to HOU/BAL)
    Yates is doing OK

Denver & Oakland both look to go 3 & 1
(to me... w/OAK losing to GB & DEN losing to us )

& I think Denver would win the tiebreaker
(just cuz NFL Standings shows them over OAK right now with the same record)

So, DEN takes the division & OAK takes 6th seed

(I wonder if you can bet on that at an online Sportsbook?)

You can bet on ANYTHING in vegas.

Worst case scenario: Jets make playoffs, beat Pats
2nd worst: Jets make playoffs, don't face Pats at all
2nd best scenario: Jets don't make playoffs
Best scenario: Jets make playoffs, and Pats put a hurting on them reminiscent of 12/6/10

I just hope one of the better two happens; the Jets (and their fans) need to be shut up really quickly.

Re: Rexs mouth runing about the Pats again

Right now, it looks like the Jets are going to be competing with the other 7-5 teams for the final two spots in the AFC.  That means they're competiting with the Bengals, Titans, and whoever is second in the West, Oakland or Denver.  Looking at schedules, I could see all of those teams going 2-2 over the remaining games, which would mean the Jets would be in if they could go 3-1. I think the Jets still have a pretty decent shot of being the sixth seed.  If that happens and we're the first seed and the Jets win their wildcard game, Rex will get his rematch.

Does this mean Indy won't throw a game so the Jets back into the playoffs ? They are a 9-7 8-8 team  at best and I can't see them beating a hungry Giants team.

Re: Rexs mouth runing about the Pats again

Jets are a 9-7 team this year losing 2 of 3 to either Philly, Giants, or Miami. This year that record isn't good enough to make it in since Cincy and Tennessee will have at least 10 wins each.

Re: Rexs mouth runing about the Pats again

Rex gets confused about what is regular season, what is playoffs, and what is Superbowl.  That's why he wins the Superbowl in the regular season, doesn't know when he is eliminated from the playoffs, and thinks that only one team in the AFC and one team in the NFC is playing during his bye week.
