Sorry Patsman3, I'm just a guy from the Cape who loves his Pats and has done so faithfully since the time Grogan won his job back for the umpteenth time and Irving Fryar squared off in a knifefight with his wife.

I was just annoyed that I head to read through all the lovers quarrel posts that were relevant to the square root of nothing before you finally returned to the subject at hand (Roth).

I post rarely but sincerely appreciate all the time and effort put in by some of the extremely knowledgeable posters on this site. My first post was just a thank you sent out to MB, Low FB IQ, Faucetman et al for their efforts during the draft.

May dirty Sanchez and Worthlessberger go down in flames this year and may the Pats defense put 'ol Buddy Ryan's "46" defense to shame. This is our year; Belichick is going for it! Ya just gotta love it. As for Fat Boy Rex and the rest of the insecure Jets.....well, they can lick my balls.... and maybe Wilfork's feet...or Haynesworth's!

I do think Roth would look good in a Pats uniform, though.

No, Underpants. NUMEROUS people from all aspects of the NFL commented on the  obscenely strange, almost aritificial way the noise channels down.
In order to clarify, is this your opinion or are you stating this as fact?  If fact, please provide these Numerous claims from ALL ASPECTS of the NFL outside of Pittsburgh and NE.

Again, when you have media personnel all thinking how weird it is, I'll take their word for it.
Why?  You don't take the word from ALL ASPECTS of the NFL who agreed the pats cheated.  Why now?

You didn't hear this issue arise at literally any other dome stadium. Get it, yet? Of course you don't. We don't need a confessional or  some FBI investigation to know that something was likely going on with the PA there, but we do know from MInnesota and Washington being caught doing it, that it was done and had been done, with certain, known technique.
I was unaware that others had been caught doing this.  Is this your opinion or are you stating this as fact?  If fact, please source.  Also, you do realize that after saying it wasn't an issue elsewhere you have identified teams that were caught doing it.  How does that work?  BTW how did the noise pumping in an outdoor stadium work out?

Afterall, even a Jets employees sarcastically joked about that with Polian and Polian choked him in an elevator. FACT
And what does that have to do with pumping noise in the stadium?

Did Indy pump in artifical noise to help their team on big downs in their staduim?  I dont know, but it sure sounded like it.  Can it be proved now, no because they havent done it in many years.  Will someone come out like Walsh did and say "well no one asked me about it" in the future, I dont know but it would be really funny if they did!  I bet after (if someone would) that The Hyprocrite wouldnt come in these blogs "all high and mighty" with his team "above reproach" bragging that his team never needed to cheat during a game.

Why would the Colts need to cheat, when Polian had the referees in his pocket?

Why do you continue to waste your time with that immature Indy troll?

In Response to Re: Roth : See, this is why I like Roth.  You know the edge is locked down cold on 1st and 2nd down and you don't need to sub him for the 4-3. The less subbing for formation shifts, the better.
    Posted by RidingWithTheKing

I agree with this completely. One weakness I thought we had last year was subbing specialists in that showed our hand on certain downs. Bring TBC in, must mean we are going to rush the passer, etc...

A guy like Roth can stand up or put his hand down without subbing. Only Cunningham, ACarter, Murrell, Moore can do this today, and none of them is a good 3-4 OLB, less Cunningham who is progressing. I see the other guys as better 4-3 DE's..Murrell probably being 2nd best on that list.... I don't think Nink is giong to get any looks at 4-3 DE.

Question is...Can Roth get after the passer like ACarter, Anderson and company? We know he can probably play the run better, but that 1st bit is more important to me at this point.

Also on Roth....Seems like the roster is going to be tight this year. Some quality players let go. Roth I think gives us 2 for 1. We could let a combination of Murrell/Moore + Carter/Anderson go and use Roth instead. This is valuable in my mind as we may want to keep an extra DL, LB, etc.

It appears that Roth's salary demands are lessening by the day. I hope this is the case and we can come to an agreement with him. Anyone know after the restructuring of CJ and Al's contract, signing Mankins long term, new signings, how much we have left on the cap to spend?

That can't be right because Rusty said there was "no way" he was going to get 3 million and the Pats were waiting to get him at a reduced price.  No way Rusty was wrong!!!  That would be the first time in like.....umm 5 mins....

Ohh well. Before Haynesworth, Carter, and Anderson he looked like a priority. After though he became less so. I still thought he would have added great starting depth to either the 34 or 43 but lets see what BB has in mind. I'm curious to see what he does with the OLB's. Should be very interesting.

That is Exactly what it is.....hey maybe if I keep on saying "shenanigans (what a tool!), whining, or deflecting," everytime I write something I could finally be heard!
Maybe if my QB played indoors he could be the best of all time (wait, he does play indoors and still 2nd best - active).  Maybe if I go on my teams biggest foes' blog, I can finally be cool, maybe even have a life?!  Maybe I can stop answering questions with questions.......

Hey now, I've seen UD be critical of his team. Like when Manning tossed his OLine under the bus so did UD. And, when his D looked like a wet paper bag UD was right beside Manning tossing them under the bus. And, when Manning tossed his kicker under the bus UD was right there to blame him too. And, when the Pats beat up on the Colts WR's at the line UD was there with the rest of the Colts saying it's not their fault they couldn't get free from the line because their WR's were soft and the rules needed to be changed. Well... maybe that last one wasn't critical against his team but point is UD's been critical that the whole team (minus Manning) from D to kicker is the reason why the Colt's have only won 1 SB

In Response to Re: Roth : Nick - we've already been through this.  We know that other coaches have said they knew about it or tried it, but I don't recall any of them being the coach of the colts from 01-08, do you?  We also know JJ fingered a dead man for info on the technique.  Why not go with what Dungy said, or do you also think he is a liar, and if so why?  Because of this?   Finally why I am "holier than thou" when you simply don't have sh*t on my team?  I'd have a little respect for the whine if, for instance, you had no money and were stealing to put food on the family table and I said, don't steal.  But the pats shenanigans have nothing to do with that kind of desparation.  Paranoia, yes.  Desperation, no.  Calling someone holier than thou is simply a feeble attempt to make yourself feel better.

You criticize Belichick on moral grounds but refuse to accept that MORALLY what Belichick did was no different than what other teams were doing, which is frankly a pathetic and ungrounded excuse to hate a man that blocked your path to the Super Bowl twice.

MORALLY speaking, stealing signals with a camera versus a pen and paper is like killing with a gun instead of a knife

Goodell said it himself, but you refuse to embrace your hypocrisy because that would mean that Belichick was no worse MORALLY than any other team in the league and you wouldn't have anybody to hate anymore.

Your logic is weak because of your ignorance of facts, but I'll keep posting this until you see the light:

You found your conclusion that Belichick is immoral scum on the basis that nobody else in the league cheats.

Now Anthony Gonzalez says 10-100 guys are using HGH around the league:

Look, the guy was caught by the packers.  Who knows if he was officially warned, but something caused the league to send a memo to all teams about the practice.  Forget about everything prior to the memo.  Do you of any other team that did not abide by the memo other than the Pats?  Further, I think Belichick is a very very good coach, best in the league possibly.  I don't care for his character or his antics and that's my preogative.

MORALLY speaking, stealing signals with a camera versus a pen and paper is like killing with a gun instead of a knife
    A plastic disposable knife, maybe.

I've seen Jeremy Green's opinion plenty.  His opinion is not Belichicks.  The few coaches who have said they tried and abandoned the method because they couldn't find value didn't work in Belichick's system.  Why do you think the Jets and Broncos were caught with their own videogate issues?  If you aint cheatin you aint tryin doesn't have to be a motto.

You found your conclusion that Belichick is immoral scum on the basis that nobody else in the league cheats.
That's over assuming.  I don't care for his smug ways.  I don't care for his Nixonian paranoia.  I don't care for his bits of gamesmanship.  As I have said many many times before, I once idolized a boorish coach until I came to realize that his BS methods were unnecessary to be successful.

Now Anthony Gonzalez says 10-100 guys are using HGH around the league:
Reports are that there are more than 20% using HGH.  If there are 1700 active players per team, that's 340 or 10 per team.

You are quite holier than thou
    Thou doth protest too much
