    Running game???

Why was it so poor today. Can understand the new receivers taking time to gel but why was the running game so bad and where was Bolden?

Don't worry, sooner or later we will play some pathetic team that can't stop the run and the stats will fatten up. Then the local homers will sing the praises of our great running game.

Meanwhile those of us who are sober and refrain from the kool-aide will correctly state that we can almost never run when we need to run.

    Bolden inactive.

Running is a commitment, wish we would go to it more often until our passing game matures. It was good to see the D step up, they will need to continue to do so.

    I'm really tired this am.........

    Re: Running game???

You have to give the Jets front 7 a lot of credit. They are young and are just going to get better. But you also have to realize that if Brady and the receiving crew are on the same page then they would be running the up tempo offense that allows Brady to see what the defensive formation the defense is going into then he picks the right matchup/play whether that's a run, or a pass. You also need TEs who can block and catch the ball. It's not just OL fault. He can't do that until the receivers, TEs and the entire offense have learn the plays and are all in sync. This is going to take weeks to fix.

yep. It just seems like our OL isn't built for a run game.  Sure, over the years they've done a pretty good job of protecting Brady in the pocket - but I still don't think they're built for run blocking.

Ridley was not running with as much instinct. He looked tentative, maybe worried about ball security, plus the jets front 4 played well

I agree 100% the Jet's front 7 against the run was very good last night.
