QBs who can run are great and all, but there's a fine line. You run too often and you don't last. Or you learn and change. See Cunningham, Randall.
Steve Young is in the Hall of Fame, but he didn't last that long. He threw 4,100 passes in his career, Brady is a tick under 6,000 and counting. Manning is gaining on 8,000.
On the other hand, if they complete the change to flag football in the next few years, then those guys may play until they're 50.

Bad example, say what? Actually Young is a poster child for exactly what we're talking about, which is the durability of running QBs. He retired because his body was shot and he'd had numerous concussions. He played three full seasons in his entire career because he used to take such a beating.
You're a good example of someone who should read more carefully.
