I'm so hurt. I could care less if you want to deal with your losses by being delusional. Be disgusted it means nothing to me just like your delusion means nothing to me. You insult your fallen friends by using them as an excuse in an argument you're incapable of supporting just as you should have been insullted at being used as an excuse for trying to curb dissent in a democracy. That's more disgusting than anything I could ever post.

Rush Limbaugh is an idiotic, racist, good for nothing jerk who would rather see America falter than a Democrat succeed.  Rush deserves noplace in the NFL and it's racially diverse followers.  Heck, for all he says he deserves no place in the United States of America.  If he had his way, slavery would still exist. Would become the worst move in NFL history.

Maybe that's one reason Barack uses a teleprompter during addresses. The text is written and screened, no ad libbing for him. Twenty, thirty years ago before the advent of the internet, TMZ, cell phone cameras, etc., etc., you could get away with "taken out of context." Those days are ova!

Those who keep saying Rush Limbaugh is a racist don't have any idea of what they are talking about. His best friend, who also is one of his staff, Bo Snerdley, is black. Look up the definition of racism, please, before you put your foot back in your mouth.

Those handful of quotes (that are supposed to prove he is a racist) are likely taken out of context. For example, the "Barack The Magic Negro" song is actually about the L.A. Times. They had an article that said (then) democrat presidential nominee Obama wasn't "black enough" because he was only "half-black" and had no "slave blood". This was when the L.A. Times was pushing Clinton for the nomination. Then, after Obama secured the nominee, the L.A. Times had an article saying he was indeed "black enough." The song is not about President Obama, but about the L.A. Times and their pathetic attempt to use race to help Clinton get the nomination (and later their 180 degree turn on the topic after she didn't get the nomination).
So, for those outraged about it, why are you not ten times more outraged at the L.A. Times?

I'm guessing those other comments some of you are so upset about have a completely different meaning if one were to listen to the entire monologue, and not just a short snippet.

But the real issue is, would Rush Limbaugh make a good (partial) owner of the Rams? Also, another interesting question, since Rush is a huge Steelers fan, how does he move that long-time loyalty from the Steelers to the Rams? I know for me, it would be very hard to be a fan of any other football team.

You're a moron... I mean in the context interpretation of quotes.  It says nothing about you.  Don't get me wrong - I don't want you to take this comment out of context...

Obama the Magic Negro ISN'T ABOUT OBAMA?!?!?!?!  And isn't about black people?!?!?!  Wow.  I don't even think I have to reply to that.  It doesn't warrant or deserve a response.  Just wow.

NickC, the song is about the L.A. Times using race to try to get Hillary Clinton the democrat presidential nominee. And then, after Barack Obama got the nominee, making a complete 180 degree turn in an effort to keep McCain out of the White House. The song is a commentary on the L.A. Times using race tacticts against Obama!
If you are upset at anyone, it should be the L.A. Times. But why aren't you?

What I would enjoy most is if you could send links to some of the entire transcripts of the Limbaugh quotes that ArtieLang and company posted.  If they're out of context, so be it, I'll own up.  But if by "out of context," we mean another example of Limbaugh trying to make an excuse for himself like he did with McNabb, I'll hold by my belief that you're way out of line.

In the meantime, check out my post on page 3 of this discussion.  When Limbaugh says he was upset that the media just wanted to see a black man succeed at quarterback (and was giving McNabb an unfair number of opportunities at the position instead of trying someone else), what he failed to realize is that McNabb is on pace for Hall of Fame numbers.

    NickC,
you can go to his website and find the entire transcript for a weeks worth of radio, but you have to be a "member" to go back any further than that. So I tried. But I don't think the burden is on me to "prove" the allegations on here wrong. The burden is on those who made the allegations to "prove" them right. I can tell you that Rush Limbaugh is taken out of context by Media Matters for America and the like all the time, and they constantly end up with egg on their face whenever the entire monologue is heard. So take that for what it's worth.

Oh, and McNabb will not be in the HOF. No chance, no way.

    • Premeditated? I agree.Congress didn't just throw a dart at a paper of things to do today and randomly hit "war".
    • Immoral? Like the Halabja Valley nerve gas attack on unarmed men, women and children launched by Saddam Hussein March 16,1988. 5,000 dead,10,000 maimed.
    • Illegal? Congressional approval was granted in accordance with the Constitution of the United States
    • Unnecessary? Well ,I guess we could have let Hussein continue to harbor and support terrorists and provide safe haven from which to launch attacks against American civilian targets.Maybe we should have nicely asked them to please stop killing our citizens.A hug perhaps?
    • Spreading Jesus and capitalism? Wow.The military goes through great lengths to ensure that the religion of the indigenous people are not hindered or disrespected in any way.As for capitalism,it really doesn't need to be spread to the Middle East. They've been practicing for thousands of years before Amerigo Vespucci lent his name to the New World.
    • As for the last comments concerning Fascists and Israel-first Jews. Our troops are the one's on the ground. They come from every walk of life, race gender, ect. They represent the American people.Show a little respect for those who are doing a dirty job that you sir,are too much of a coward to do yourself.Be thankful that brave men and women heard their countries call and went, regardless of political beliefs,so that their fellow Americans can sleep safely from the tyranical ideologies of evil men that seek to repress our liberties, including the very one we are excerising through this forum.
    • BTW,if you made negative comments about Saddam Hussein in an Iraqian public forum, you and your family would be immediatley arrested, tortured and executed. But we're the immoral ones?

For your quickness to make condescending comments about my political motivations in posting this, I still haven't heard one decent response on what could have possibly motivated Rush Limbaugh to make his McNabb comment OTHER than race.  I'll tell you this much - it certainly wasn't quality of play and statistics prove it.  So what he essentially said was that McNabb got an unfair advantage because he was black.

    That's racist.

While Richie_az was quick to note that Limbaugh transcripts were unavailable to non-members, I'm sure someone has posted good portions of the transcripts in question somewhere (although if I refer to personal sites, I'll be certain to include one site defending him and one site attacking him so that it's possible to confirm whether or not the transcripts were conveniently altered by either side).

And I'd love to be Republican if people like Limbaugh and Gingrich didn't demand that everyone comply with their extreme conservative views.  I'm all for free markets, but so help me God I'd like to think we can have them without a pseudo-religious state.

Great another political thread on a sports forum!

In short the people I would feel most sorry for would be the fans of the Rams.  Black players with any sense and or talent will stay away from Rush like the plague.  See they don't need to read or hear the endless explanations of how he was "misinterpreted" or his words were "taken out of context" to see him for the racist, propaganda selling, drug dealing goon that he is.

Everyone here sticking up for him has the same arguments of how misunderstood poor Rush is, what they cant respond to is the facts without resorting to name calling and labeling people who disagree as liberals or even democrats etc...

The double standard for his discretions like trying to explain to us how his bust with copious amounts of painkillers was for his bad back (lol) not for sales...?  Than mere weeks later he was busted coming from a country with a real underage sex tourism trade problem, the Dominican Republic, with large quantities of black market viagra well somehow the story disappeared real quickly...  was he addicted to stiffys as well?

I don't like politicians of any flavor so don't lump me in with any subculture or politically affiliated group.  If you think Rush, Obama or anyone in Washington is looking out for your best interests, good luck with that.  Every representative in Washington has 6 envoys from each special interest group assigned to them, they are all bought and paid for.  Why don't you all argue about the story lines in soap operas or pro wrestling instead, they're as legit as anything that goes on in the capital.

People will drink the kool aid again and again...  TV and talk radio is rotting your brain, try doing some critical thinking for yourselves.  Politics are fake and people malleable as wet clay...

    Again...

"All men plume themselves on the improvement of society, and no man improves."
