I wouldn't say Gronk fell on his arm and broke it, I'd say Gronk was a guy running around with an arm that wasn't healed and a stiff wind could of broke it. Too bad for him and us. I'd like to see someone else catch the ball beside Welker (Llyod did well), but if we're going to win this thing Hernandez is going to have to play lights out. Vareen will have to continue to contribute (he has the hands to help).

It's pretty weak that after 8 weeks it's not healed. Not sure who to blame there but mother nature. It might be a blessing in disguise where they run it more anyway.   As great as Gronk is, there's a reason why they haven't missed a beat without him.

    1. NE's D has been great.

    2. They are forced to run it more vs trying to hit Welker and Gronk.

They would probably run it more effectively with Gronk blocking. Plus, our play action pass is deadly with Gronk on the field.

The reason that we haven't missed a beat without Gronk is we have so many other guys stepping up, and the ground game really helps out a lot.

Make no mistake, Gronk's absence hurts our team, but we're good enough to deal with it and maybe win a Super Bowl.

Could use another receiver.  Fells is probably active next week to give us three TEs. Maybe we see aiken or slater get some snaps at receiver. We are getting thin in receiving options thanks to injuries.

I'll share.  Brady's play was marginal.  Look, when the defense is stopping the opposition entirely, it is not difficult for one of the best QB's in the league to turn in a decent performance.  When Tom Brady's team is challenged, he's a different, less effective player.

    Thank Belichick.

Yeah, Brady is not a all pro quarterback but I'll take him over Gomer any day.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha one and done Manning!!!!!!

Nope.  Good thing we changed up the awful first two drive tactics. Take away about 5 passes and a 50 point game if we didn;t come out in such an awful formation to start.

40 passes or less is preferred, as we all know.  But, you keep rooting for a loss, dribbly.

Did you go to the game tonight? Flight already landed in Toronto, huh?

I don't think 40 is the magical number with this offense. They are all about snapping it quickly and keeping the d on their toes. That lends itself to more passing and just more plays in general. Also this year Brady's release time is out of this world. On top you might be the only person that think the Pats are better in the ball in Ridley's arms instead of Brady's hand. The rest Ridley didn't start and played second fiddle is because of the fumbles. It is like when Welker goes back for punt late in a tight game. If he can't trust you, he is not going to play you when it mattters most.

    Lol

Don't leave that union. My god are you two not bright.

Newsflash: The D held on the first drive and held again and again and the offense was AWFUL in the shotgun spread until turning to Ridley.

Ridley and a non-pass based offense helped win this game, you moron. They ran it with Ridley and Vereeen with HManui in-line to block. The difference was blatantly obvious, but you imbeciles want him 40+? LMAO

    Keep shopping at Walmart, Corky.

Jesus christ. Even when we all see it, your arrogance continues.  What do you teach?  Why are our fans who are teachers here so arrogant? Anyone know?

Is this post a joke? Seriously?

Risley on it? With his 7 carries in the first 3 quarters? He won it?

How many passes did Brady throw?

Why can't you just admit ... your obsession/theory is wrong???

ridley did play very well when called upon and his running certainly opened up alot for brady and the passing game....but it was really vereen catching passes out of the backfield and welker catching passes across the middle, more then it was the running game. however, i do like how ridley ran the ball today.

Are you for real? When Woodhead got hurt and Ridley came in, it was a breath of fresh air.  Everyone saw the difference.

    The whole offense was transformed.

    Are you a troll?

Vareen came in and was able to catch the ball out of the backfield and was able to line up wide. He was basically Woodhead on turbo.

It's a balance, but we lost a SB last year because Brady wanted to run that shotgun base crap with Woodhead.

We saw it again tonight, why and what actually works.

How is this even debatable?!! THe arrogance of a Washer like ZBellino to try to troll with Prolate is sick. Absolutely sick!

Everyone in the room tonight, 3 of whom arent even Pats fans, saw how RIdley made a difference.

Jesus!   Woodhead can't run in between the tackles!

Ridley didn't make the difference. He barely played in the first half and was pulled in the red zone for Vareen. A very impressive game for Vareen no doubt.

i think woodhead and ridley are both important to the team, just in different ways. woody is a good blocker for his size and is very good at catching and running out of the backfield. ridley is a power runner with a big motor who seems to get the team energized when hes in the game making plays. vereen is kind of a hybrid as he isnt that great of a runner, but he is decent when given a hole, and he can make explosive plays in the passing game as well as we saw tonight. overall i think the pats have a great froup of running backs when used properly.

Umm, no kidding. When they needed to run, it was Ridley. When they wanted to pass more, they used Vereen. Are we really disputing how it was different when Ridley was in there as a lead back to jumpstart this?

brady was phenomenal today, one of his best playoff performances ever. you wont get an argument from me about that. an even tougher test comes next sunday against a familiar foe. i think the pats have the firepower to get it done, but we shall see.

I know dude. He is a liar. I am literally going to cut and paste the entire game. Ridley saw the field five or six times in the first few quarters.

He had nothing to do with the win, outside of running the ball late.

This is just pathetic. Really. A sad attempt at defending an indefensible position.

He is not going to admit he is wrong ever. No ever responded to your other awesome thread Z but a lot of us read them!
