    Saints kicked our arses?

We probably won't win a game this year.

Worst defense in league history and Brady stinks. Where's my toaster?

    We did quit on them....
Here you have a team with Tom Brady, 2 time SB MVP, holder of single season TD record along with Randy Moss the most gifted WR in the game today, and we decided to throw in the towel with 5 1/2 minutes to play down 21 points. As has been pointed out repeatedly it was more than possible for them to come back and win this game. The Colts did it in Tampa.  While we haven't hesitated in running up the score on others in a classless fashion at the end of games, we weren't  man enough to fight to the finish.
We should be looking for a coach and players that don't pack it in so soon.

I love the sarcasm in this thread.

Stoked to hear Jones getting some respect, I think he will be a huge part of this time this year and years to come.

The Saints are coming off of an 8-0 regular season winning streak, 13-3 during their regular season last year.  For the rookie-filled Patriots to play them to a tie would be pretty good.  Further, if things work out as expected the Patriots O-line playing now won't be the line playing on September 9.

Unless some fans here see a 56 - 0 blowout every game, even in the pre-season, the Pats are in trouble, it seems!

Yes, it would shock me.  What would the saints gain in practicing against a team if they already new their plays? Why would their coaches agree to such a thing?

Man your talking about practice... you know practice. When was the last time we won a preseason game, let alone a practice. We're perpetual preseason losers. We always play the Giants in preseason, maybe we should stop doing that too?

Last year the rookies didn't get to see game speed till late. These joint practices are excellent for shaking off rust and to let the rookies know how fast the game really is.

Totally agree. People forget the Saints were one of the best teams in football last year (especially on offense). Add in the fact that they have something to prove.

But if they got some good stuff to work on out it, then they may go 1-15 instead of 0-16.

I could NOT care less.  Only games that count are the ones they track in regular season

    Re: Saints kicked our arses?

    Never mind, we're going 19-0!

    AM ET
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – After a spirited joint practice on Tuesday, the Patriots and Saints dialed things back on Wednesday morning before another overflowing crowd.

There was a heavy special teams emphasis in the practice, which was not held in full pads. Without full contact, and with the teams’ preseason game scheduled for Thursday night at Gillette Stadium, the session had a “game-preparation” feel to it.

The Patriots’ offense looked much sharper on Wednesday, with quarterback Tom Brady completing all nine of his pass attempts in 7-on-7 drills inside the red zone.

Meanwhile, Bill Belichick stayed with the Patriots’ defense during 7-on-7 work, giving some extra attention to the safety spot. Second-round draft choice Tavon Wilson received a few extra reps with the top group in place of Patrick Chung, and Belichick was seen coaching him up.

Officials were present once again, carrying out their responsibilities as if it was a game situation, such as throwing penalty flags and signaling if players were in-bounds along the sidelines.

On the injury front, veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren was a new addition to those not practicing. Also, rookie offensive lineman Dustin Waldron, who was knocked out of drills toward the end of Tuesday’s practice, wasn’t present. The Patriots have been thin on the offensive line, but the return of rookie offensive tackle Darrion Weems helped offset Waldron’s absence.
