Who cares what Palin's political views are.  She's hot, and that's the ugly truth :^)  If you can find a prominent democratic woman who is hot, feel free to post about her.  And if you can find one, you're a better hunter than Palin is.

Things could be worse. Ted Nugent killing a rodent with his bare hands while wearing a Lincoln High Lions Jersey; that would be worse.

Belichick makes his woman wear the same Palin outfit on Armistice Day. Not a huge concern.

Although I like her, she won't be a viable candidate for another couple of elections at least.

I just get annoyed at the perception by the elites that she wasn't qualified for VP, but Obama was qualified for Pres.

JAR59 - respectfully, comparing Palin's credentials to Obama's is insane. 

She went to 5 or 6 colleges, was a marginal student at best, and somehow secured a broadcast journalism degree.  She then held an executive office in Alaska (pupulation of a mid-sized city) for just over 2 years.  Then she quit! 

Obama attended Harvard Law School, and edited the prestigious law reivew (the first black ever to do so).  He became a community organizer, shunning the big bucks he could've earned after law school, later becoming a state senator in Illinois, and then a US senator for 4 years.

While she is admittedly cute and looks good in red, she cannot put a coherent series of thoughts together.  The fact that Repulicans (some at least) are putting any stock in her as a viable standard bearer for the GOP is beyond belief, and is a reflection of the sad state of affairs in that party.

Please take this as a civil comment - it is not personal - you have the right to your views and I respect that right, as much as it sometimes "Paines" me to listen.

Sarah Palin administered a state budget of 9 billion dollars in 2009.

She supervised about 26000 employees.

Before the mainstream media tore her to pieces, she was holding approval ratings in the 70's.

Barack Obama was editor of his college paper,however, he's refused to release his grade transcripts, then a community organizer working with the corrupt ACORN, then a State Senator for a couple years (who, incidentally, was elected by having all of his opponents removed from the ballot on technicalities, look it up), then was a US Senator for 143 days, with 75% of that time spent on the campaign trail.

Like I said before, I don't think she's ready for the big stage yet, either, but she did hold her own with 35 year Wahington insider Joe Biden in their one debate, after she'd been in Washington for about a half hour.

Put her experience against Obama's, take off your partisan glasses for a second, and you'll see that it's not as "insane" as think to compare the two.

Jar59 - Dude - you are really reaching and distorting the facts.  Talk about partisan!  Actually, the budget in Alaska was above 13 billiion for FY 2009.  Ironically, since you are touting her fiscal credienitals, Alaska is expected to suffer a $1.65 billion budget shortfall for fiscal year 2009 and a similar shortfall for 2010.  Nice job Sarah.

Another interesting nugget re: her fiscal credentials is her accepting more federal money per capita than any other governor - so she's also a closet socialist (gasp!).

I didn't see the VP candidate debate, but I recall the coverage almost universally (minus Fox) stating that she danced around most of the questions, offering virtualy nothing of substance, and playing cutesy for the cameras.  

How can you defend her choice to quit in the middle of her term?  That seems to speak volumes about her ability to tough it out politically and to honor her commitment to her constituents.  If she can't cut it in Alaska, how in the hell is she gonna have a prayer on a larger stage.  She is not ready for presidential politics now, nor will she be ever.  She has sealed her fate with this poor decision, not that she would've been a viable candidate had she completed her term.  (Sarah makes Dan Quayle look like JFK).

To sum up Obama's community organizing in such a shallow and dismissive fashion, the way you have, is regrettable.  You are towing the Fox line it appears, as well as Palin's lame campaign diatribes against the concept of community organizing.  I don't expect you to understand or appreciate the concept of working with the poor and disenfranchised. But it WAS real work, took a lot of guts, and reflects well on Obama's character.  And obviously, that job helped Obama acquire the organizing chops to set up an unparalelled presidential campaign machine that garnered the presidency.  That is nothing to sneeze at, even you must see this.

What is there on Sarah's resume that she can similarly point to ? - what has she accomplished ? - other than being a plastic manniquin standing in as a VP candidate?

Sorry to take up so much space when we should be talking football.  Let me say in closing (applause) that she is not qualified to carry Dick Cheney's jockstrap, (not that he needs one).   This will be my final post on the subject - take care Jar59.

Obama won the presidency last year for two reasons.

One, John McCain was unable to distance himself from George Bush, who the public took out their anger over the Iraq War and the collapse of Wall Street and the mortgage market.

Two, Obama was given a virtual police escort into the White House by a woefully incompetent, obscenely partial mainstream media.

As we see now, the Independents and moderates of both parties are realizing their mistake and bailing out on Obama, but he'll need their votes to win in 2012.

Whether he is able to fool them again will be the big question.

Palin studied news broadcasting for a reason, she had nice dimples and she could read from the telepromptor... other than that she can't come up with an original thought to save her life.  Think back to her interview with Diane Sawyer where she was asked questions on the cuff and sounded like a beauty queen pagent who had studied her script but didn't quite understand what she was talking about.  If nothing else W proved you don't need a brain cell to be president anymore, you just need to be likeable...

Yes, I know, I had a naughty outburst. 

I just get very fired up over the s*** she pulled up there in AK. She disgusts me and it frightens me that people actually WANT someone like her in the White House. But, that is a subject better left for another time and place. I'm not, however, changing my opinion on this woman (for those that don't like what I have to say about her and her vile practices against the natural world). I feel how I feel and I will not compromise my integrity in that respect.

Now then...back to our regularly scheduled Patriots discussions.

Actually, his response was to validate the claim that Palin had "executive experience" where Obama and Biden did not. As far as a shortfall in 09, whate state isn't in a bind in these times? Out in CA state employees are receiving IOUs in lieu of a paycheck!

Wake up and smell the coffee! The media is famous for being partial to the left wing. As many things as you may feel went "wrong" in Iraq, there were also a lot of stories about people who were helped. But these types of stories never made it to us, there wasn't enough "scandal" to warrant it. And what did the media "not report" in the wake of 9-11? Believe what you will, but it was the Clinton administration's lack of action against Bin Laden which allowed 9-11 to come to fruition. Under Bush's watch at least we have not been targeted again on our own soil.

I haven't heard about the spy thing, but you are correct about corruption. Actually, you could not even be nominated without being corrupt. The amount of money it takes to even think of running leaves you open to corruption. All we as voters can really do is try to choose the "lesser of the evils".
