    SC Shocking Bama!

Is anyone watching this? Stephen Garcia looks like Steve Young and Bama has forgotten how to tackle.

    21-3 is insane.

    Long way to go.

But you would like to think that 'Bama would be better coached than this.

Yeah PM. I was just saying the same thing. Saban has got to be hysterical inside. Most of the these scores are on fundamental breakdowns.

Some good tackling on that last drive.

But gosh, if the Tide drops by four scores, you have to wonder if they have the ponies to catch up. Their entire team is built around keeping a boot on the back of your skull ...not making quick strikes.

Alabama will have the most talented players heading in the 2011 draft, right?
Who should I be looking at besided the wr jones and the backs?
What other college teams have a lot of future nflers?

Georgia Tech: CB Mario Butler, RB Anthony Allen (I love him in the 3-4 round)

Iowa: DE Adrian Clayborn, DT Christian Ballard (both could be top 15 picks)

LSU: CB Patrick Peterson (top 5), WR Terrance Toliver

Miami (FL): DE Allen Bailey, OG Orlando Franklin, LB Colin McCarthy, WR Leonard Hankerson

latest update SC 35 bama 21

the sad thing to see is all these good teams beating each other up, while Boise st. sits back and plays teams like toldeo, idaho, LA tech  and SJ St every week.

    Re: SC Shocking Bama!

    SP,

It's hard to tell without knowing who is coming out. IIRC, and someone can correct me on this, the only blue chippers that Bama has are all juniors, and aren't sure things to come out.

Julio Jones, Ingram, Barron, Dareus, and Hightower are all eligible underclassmen I think.

Oklahoma has a few that are pretty sure to be drafted. Beal, Murray, Lewis, Carter and Broyles.

LSU has Peterson, Nevis, Shepard, and Tolliver who should all go.

Miami is always worth watching and are always well represented.

An anomaly would be North Carolina. Austin, Quinn, Carter, Sturdivant, Williams, Burney and Little all look safe. But I think some of them are suspended for a while because of "tutor-gate."

other notables for Miami: Greg Cooper, Damien Berry, Sean Spence, and matt Bosher (Kicker & punter). they have a couple good offensive linemen too.

That is the point. Part of the ranking system is broken. It's not that the best team comes from the SEC, its that (especially this year) 6-7 of the top 25 come from the SEC. There is no way to accurately gauge what playing that schedule means beyond the fact that you can come out of the conference with a loss and still be #1 overall, unlike some other conference.

Yeah. Great lists guys. Except for some schools with off years (Michigan) you can count on some teams to contribute every season.

Yeah. I am trying to figure out how the pollsters are going to wriggle SC above Auburn and LSU based on an anomalous victory. SC  isn't that good. Bama was just stunned.
