    Similarities

After watching PAT and BOLT this preaseason; both have their season riding on a questionable OLine. LT's Solder & Gaither better do a much finer blindside protection IMO. Brady and Rivers both got hit too much in preseason IMO. Both of these teams will go as far as the OLines allow. It's gonna be fun watchin Melvin Ingram throw Peyton around like a rag doll in 2 games this year.

    Good luck!

    Re: Similarities

I don't know about the Chargers O-line so I can't really comment on that. I do think that the Patriots will have a very good O-line if Vollmer can stay healthy. They are going to be set at guard, even more so if Waters comes back.  Vollmer looked perfect while he was out there the other night, his history proves that he's an elite tackle in this league. Soldier doesn't get pushed around but was having some technique problems. That can be coached and he looked much improved in the TAmpa game. Coach Scar is probably the best offensive line coach in the league and has always had the line ready no matter who's out there or who gets hurt. We will be fine. The most underrated part of the Patriots is going to be their defense. Look for a vastly improved defense and a super bowl if Brady and most of the starters can stay healthy.

Good to see see you here Jbolt. You have always been a classy fan of your Chargers. Good luck this year except if you encounter our beloved patriots.

    Re: Similarities

but Chargers questionable line is about it's starters the Pats never really had it's starting line together once this whole preseason:

Solder - only one who actually played their position all preseason
Mankins - Came in afte preseason game 2
Connolly - played both G spots and C but never C with the rest of the starters
Waters - good projection but never played the entire preseason
    Vollmer - didn't play until week 4

The Pats OL will only improve as the season progresses once they start playing together but the Chargers are kind of stuck

Thats how I see it too PatsEng. It's just a matter of having our starters out there playing together. They are all proven to be very good lineman with a lot of experience. Nothing new or unknown about them. My only real concern is weather or not Vollmer can stay healthy. If so he is a beast, on of the top RT's in the league. Sometimes surgery corrects these kind of problems, lets hope this is the case here.
