So you say Goodell had all that proof against the Saints........

Then why would he be afraid of a little lawsuit by Jonathon Vilma?

Goodell is afraid of being exposed. It wouldn't be very hard for a 6 year old to put the facts together & show how his "punishments" are not even or are biased.

Did you ever consider that Vilma continually sues the league for everything that he can and it leaves a black eye with the league. Maybe, Goodell is trying to play politician and protect the image of the league by settling with Vilma to stop bringing these lawsuits that are going no where. At this point all Vilma is doing is trying to give the league a black eye by keeping the story in headlines and he's succeeding with these non-sense lawsuits.

That's not to mention that if key witnesses all of a sudden decide to unite as the brotherhood of players Goodells case falls apart. It wouldn't be the first time that a union "talked" to witnesses about immoral acts committed by other union members and the witnesses story magically changes into "I never said that"

The telling thing will be if Vilma takes any settlement. If he does then you know that he did something wrong. If he fights it to the end then maybe he was innocent after all.
