Rico?  Why is he using racial epithets here?

Will TFB12 become outraged and back you or side with his ally, NAS, an obvious racist?

    This should be interesting.

That doesn't even make sense, which is no surprise coming from such a slanderous fool like yourself.

Let's get back to Spikes being a game changer.  How's he doing this year?

I really do have an idea.

My idea:  Three years after a draft, the team has a good DB, and injured TE (who was known to have injury issues when drafted) and a guy who looks terrible and may not return next year.

    Is any of that incorrect?

So players are bad picks if they don't stick with the team that drafted them?  So Percy Harvin, Andy Levitre, Paul Kruger, Sean Smith, Connor Barwin and Mike Wallace were all bad picks?  They were all picked in the 2009 draft and no longer play for the teams that drafted them.  What are you going to tell me Asante Samuel was a bad pick in 2003 because he left for Philly at the end of his contract?  So go ahead and keep spinning while ignoring the fact that the Patriots got meaningful contributions from a number of other players in the 2010 draft which you choose to ignore.  Once again.  You have no idea what you are talking about.

It's clear that we see things differently.  It's okay.  You'll be fine.

When evaluating a draft, you care what players do for their careers.  I care what they do for the team that drafted them.  It's a different point of view.  And that's okay to have.

    In response to FrankDooley's comment:

The amount of games played by each is not somerthing you can introduce as a context, because Gronk has had less opps starting with this team in 2010. Welker had played in more games.

End of story.  1 more TD would out him above Welker with your goofy little averages.

Correct.  That is why you can't go by totals and you must go by averages instead.

    Thanks.

Except you are ignoring what they did for the team that drafted them.  You are simply assuming that if they aren't still on the team then the contributions they made while they were aren't worth mentioning or considering.  That is silly.  Why don't you go look at who was picked in the 4th round in 2010 and explain to me which of the guys there made larger contributions to their teams than Hernandez did before he got put away.  I assure you there aren't many.

I was trying to educate him on how to build a team through the draft and how you still can't keep all players you originally draft.  He didn't want to hear it.

Only on this board would anyone categorize the Patriots 2010 draft as terrible.  LMAO.

    12 picks

    McCourty and Gronkowski

    (and Spikes)

    Is that not terrible?
Considering you just called Gronk a "good player" I just can't buy into what you say often.  Yes his healthy has been some what an issue, but if Pollard rolled up your leg you'd being crying.. literally.  He freakishly broke his arm ok fine.. injury.  However; he is the best TE in the game when healthy, not just a good player bro. Who knew Ahern was going to get arrested?

Mesko is a good punter who was replaced with a good punter, and now Mesko is a starting punter somewhere else.. so what?  That's good drafting still if another team see's his value.

The same is most likely going to be said about Spikes.  He'll most likely start somewhere or at least be a solid back up.

I have no idea how you can call this a bust of a draft.  It may be one of the best if not best drafts I have personally seen on a talent level.
He can say that because his statements are based on shock value and not reality!

Someone needs to tap Spikes on the shoulder and tell him the season started - this is what happens when you "workout on your own" - you end getting "dehydrated" in the first game. Dyhydrated really stands for...I'm out of shape and about to throw up my breakfast buffet.

Of couse Rusty still believes Spikes stayed down in Florida to work on his agility and coverage skills with renowned speed specialist Emuukha Runfastalot.

Or "I thought it would be cool to get lubed UP the night before the game to celebrate!" That was embarrasing. The commentators knew he was hungover and were trying to think of ANYthing to let him off the hook and couldnt....smh
Yeah that crossed my mind...imagine that? I kind of doubt it though, they are pretty strict the night before the game...he would of had to snuck out...and who wants to do that in Buffalo?

    Spot on MtHurl

I actually thought BB was willing to give Spikes the benefit of the doubt. If he reported in superior condistion, and improved in the passing game, then BB would forgive and forget. But Spkes showed up out of shape and not ready for the season. If replacements were ready to play, Spikes would be sitting in the proverbial dog house. Unfortunately, there are no replacements ready to play

I saw him running half speed through most of the team drills in camp, he looked fat and out of shape. The guy was wearing a sweatshirt under his uniform to burn some of the cheeseburgers off for god's sake. Embarrassing. If his agent calls asking about a contract extension, I'd laugh my nuts off before hanging up on the guy.

You defending CHiarelli's crap drafts on the B's board and then coming here holding BB's feet to the fire in this area, is trolling, and NOT ok.

    You're trolling.

A moronic point of view may be different, but you are still a moron.

More lies from the King of Lies.  I have been chiding Chiarelli's drafts for years.

    You really are worthless.

I read a story during the time of the Lloyd cutting that BB let the locker room get away from him a little bit.  Spikes was part of the problem so I can understand a little bit of a disconnect between the two sides.

    Source that please, LIAR.

Lloyd's quirky personality is not "BB let the locker room get away a little bit".

    You're such a troll.

"The Pats have been disappointed in Spikes' play & for not becoming a stronger leader in the locker room. Bedard thinks the locker room got away from BB a little last year and Spikes, Deaderick, Love and Lloyd were all a part of the locker room issues."

Not the best source, but at least backs up what TFB said.

You can apologize to TFB now, Rusty, you miserable human.

Hahaha, thanks NAS.  I didn't realize I was being question by queenie.  I have him on ignore.  He crossed the line yesterdaywith a really poor taste remark concerning a forum members daughter.

Great find, that's exactly what I had read, however it was in an article by Bedard which also mentioned Lloyd too.
