    Start Drinking Early

Tom's marching orders to fans for Sunday's 4:30 game. I won't be at Gillette, but I will do my part from the couch. Glad to help out!
So, when to raise a glass?
Every time TB completes a pass? (could spell trouble for monday morning)
Every time Ocho catches a pass? (might not even need advil)
Every time BB cracks a smile? (that might not create the buzz TB is looking for)

Variations are endless. This could be fun.
Those of you on the stadium- do make some NOISE!

At the price of Beer in Foxboro, Brady better leave some money for the fans to buy it as well.  Thank God for Tailgating....thats about the only early drinking that will be going on.

I heard him taking heat for those comments on the Radio....reporters need to get a Life!

I'm going to "lube" up with my Octoberfest style "water" well before, during, and after the game because Brady told me I should

I still won't buy Uggs or scream like a girl on a kiddy slide at the pool. What a sad day that was knowing my hero was mortal after all  Cry

No, I think the worst footage has to be him dancing on the sideline of that soccer game...OMG, I hate when they show that...it makes him look like such a lil flaming pansie....but then you look at his wife and say...Ok, you got that!

BTW,. Brady and Gisele brought in more scratch last year than Jay- Z and Beyone...smh.  Gisele getting that euro money...

    Buy me a Beer Brady!!

I'll take Brady dancing, model behavior off the field any time, who cares?  (remember joe namath) And how about Favre, talk about cringe worthy.
TB is an incredible smart athlete on the field, there's no one that man's up to the QB position better.
I like it when he fires up fans and applaud his fiery behavior on the field.
Whatever juice it takes for fans to join in.
    I say go for it!
    I know I will.
    Raise a Glass! Cheers.

I would like to see Brady run into the endzone and do a celebration dance. Hopefully, it'll be masculine though.

    Most of us do, right?

But he's right, the fans in Foxboro need to start getting up for these games, and make some noise.

Last time I went I was in the 300's and when I stood up to cheer a sack two pink hats behind me told me to sit down and I was making to much noise. Then a security guard came over and told me I couldn't stand up and clap loudly because it was disturbing people around me (which it wasn't, they told me well except for the pink hats. Most were angry at the security person and the pink hats the others didn't seem to care). One couple next to me who had season tickets told me it's always like this. That security tells people not to stand up and to not make to much noise to respect other people.

It's disturbing that in the old stadium security guards would toss you out if you weren't making enough noise and telling people to sit down but in this new stadium you get tossed out if you cheer a great play and stand up?

I miss the old place. The hard wood and alumina benches and lack of commodities kept the pink hats out

Tom Brady should be the PR man for the Pats because he is already. I'll have about a dozen beers in me when Norv blows the game.

    Re: Start Drinking Early

The problem is not fans with fans being "lubed" enough; it is the pervasive corporate environment of Gillette stadium that is the problem. The stadium is dominated by expensive club seats now backed by Putnam Investments, a tarnished old line Boston firm looking to refurbish their image. Investment bankers and their clients are not real fans; they're just into hedging bets.

The old days of Foxboro/Schaeffer stadium were dominated by get loose types who unfortunately didn't have much to cheer about. In some ways this kept people humble. The second part of the problem is that fans are largely feel "entitled" to a Patriots team that always wins. This attitude does not generate excitement. In some ways the "nothing left to lose" environment of the pre-successful Pats was more fun.

So, when Brady says "get lubed" it is kind of a desperate attempt to revive fans from the dead whether the death is a result of corporate stenosis or psychological paralysis.

Huh? Just tell security Brady told you to make some noise. Tell the pink hats football is noise! Been to Gillette more than a few times, and I make plenty of noise. Unless you are screaming obscenties. I don't get it. Sounds like you were doing exactly what fans do.
Gawd how about Fenway where taunting is part of the spectator sport?
Cheering for the home team is  GOOD thing. I'm sure Bob Kraft would agree.
Anyone who wants quiet should stay in their living room.
I'm getting thirsty just looking at the beer choices posted by fans on this thread.
