    Patriots are in the top 3 of SB appearances. Wow. And 5 in the last 11 years. Awesome feat.

    Steelers - 8, 1975- 2011
    Cowboys - 8, 1971 -1996
    Patriots - 7, 1985 -2012

    Agree.  You simply can't compare the pre-cap and post-cap eras.  Those past Steelers teams were just silly talented but would never have stayed together in today's NFL.  Same goes for the 49ers although I give them more props since they won with two different QBs.   What the PATS have done in the past 11 years is simply awe-inspiring.  In the Salary Cap era to have a team make almost half the Superbowls in an 11 year period simply will not be surpassed.   Plus, while they will likely not win tomorrow in a bad match up for them, this team/organization has at least two more SB appearances in them while Brady is still playing.
