How many times are the announcers going to say the "SEC" linebackers for the Patriots. For all the trash talk about Mayo on this board, he's made some plays tonight. Wilfork has been an absolute beast as usual. Good win for the Pats!

Great play by Watt with an even luckier play by Lloyd. Woodhead and Ridley have some laps to run this week (Woodhead did great to escape a couple of tackles though).

Wow, the Pats have been opportunistic on D when it matters, set the tone, and are deep enough on offense to grab the momentum early.

The result? A totally demoralized opponent!

I love these games. Kinda like that Jets game a couple years ago!

    Sweeet.

Get healthier and bring on the Niners!

Yeah, and dont forget what happened in the playoffs later that year. I DO NOT want to play these guys again, esp in Texas.

Just saw Talib on the sideline stretching and looking fine.  Let's hope that BB decided to hold him out due to the absolute azzkicking put on these texans.
Most likely. The trainers arent paying any attention to him either, so thats good.

Pretty boy Foster is taking the field now that they are at the one and he can get a garbage time TD.

True. Gronk will add a lot, but Id still rather play them at home. We'll have to root fo Andrew Suck to win one.

Mayo showing up in garbage time
If we were in the wild, I would attack you. Even if you weren’t in my food chain, I would go out of my way to attack you! If I were a lion and you were a tuna, I’d swim out in the middle of the ocean and freakin EAT YOU! And then I’d bang your tuna girlfriend
OK, first off: a lion, swimming in the ocean. Lions don't like water. If you placed it near a river or some sort of fresh water source, that make sense. But you find yourself in the ocean, 20 foot wave, I'm assuming off the coast of South Africa, coming up against a full grown 800 pound tuna with his 20 or 30 friends, you lose that battle, you lose that battle 9 times out of 10. And guess what, you've wandered into our school of tuna and we now have a taste of lion. We've talked to ourselves. We've communicated and said 'You know what, lion tastes good, let's go get some more lion'. We've developed a system to establish a beach-head and aggressively hunt you and your family and we will corner your pride, your children, your offspring.

    LOL
LOL too.

33 passes to 19 runs (1 by Brady 8 by 3rd down backs) while it was 35-7.

Now it is time to run though ... kill the clock.

As Ron Erhardt said ... pass to score run to win.

    Not sure of your point.

NE just gutted them like a fish using the spread mostly, and running only 40% of the time.

If NE were losing this game, you would be HOWLING about imbalance somewhere.

And you also said NE had to be "balanced" to win the game.
The point is that nobody runs on this team. We exploited their WEAK secondary by throwing all over them. Although we were most effective eaqrly when we used playaction more after the eraly runs.See Cables posts, and how do you not see the point btw? Houston defense has only let up over 85 rushing yards once on the year and 11 weeks of ZERO rushing tds.
