Luck?

As Branch Rickey so eloquently put it, "Luck is the residue of design".

If you've made it this far, you've undoubtedly had a wee bit of luck along the way.

Most of those slobs who call themselves "sports writers" owe their very existence to luck, and they know it.

Unfortunately, it's probably the only thing they know...

Without reading through all of this... any team that makes the playoffs deserves to be there.  You could go through every play of every team and pick out this or that, claim that they played a weak schedule, claim that they did or did not have help from the refs, compare this injured player to that one and on and on.  If you win enough games to make the playoffs for whatever reason, you deserve to be there.  If you win a playoff game, regardless of who it's against, you deserve to be there.  The Broncos were not a very good team, let's face it.  They were in a division of teams like themsleves.  They put together a great game against the Steelers, who may have been able to beat us, but they couldn't beat the Broncos.  Everyone deserves what they get.

All this luck is making me think of Andrew Luck, lets be a bit more realistic here. You don't get to the AFC Championship without a little luck, but you don't win the championship unless you can preserver and the Patriots have and done both.

And Brady doesnt go down in week 1 of 2008 season, I kind of get the feeling we dont see steelers winning SB.....

I love hearing how everyone from Tebow to the Towel Boy is injured on every single team but the Pats, while we roll out Wide Receivers and undrafted street free agents into our "Healthy" defense and continue to roll..............
