Surprised that this hasn't been mentioned...the Boston Herald had an interview with Gonk's mom & what she said surprised me...Gronk had the arm surgeries & back surgery we all knew about, but she said he also had foot surgery as well...could that be more a reason for the clearance?

He's so immature, childish, entitled, egotistic, self centered, pick your ajective, that if you care about the team, you dont you dont have the time to care about him. HE'LL BE BACK WHEN Andrews say so or if he thinks people have lost interest in his trials and tribulations.  Five or six years from now pro wrestling. Plenty of drama there.

The "saga" is completely media driven BS. He'll play when James Andrews clears him to play. All this crap about trouble among players in the locker room is complete media crap.

Yes, I saw an interview they did with Brady.  He said Gronk wants to be out on the field badly, but hasn't been cleared yet.  He said there is no dissention among the players.

How about keeping him out until the last two games of the season so he has the best chance of being availible for the playoffs. Only earlier if if looks like the PAtriots need wins to make it to the playoffs.

Dafug? How much are the Patriots paying him?

When the Dr clears him and when that nasty hang nail/paper cut thing he has on his pinky finger finally heals is when Gronk will play...not  a second sooner!

Hmm - 3 forearm surgeries and back surgery equal a hang nail on what planet?

3 arm and a back surgery 6 months ago. JPP got the same surgery later in the year(back) and he's back playing.

Heard one of his buddies is having a birthday bash at the Foxy Lady Sat night, so we probably won't see Gronk on Sunday again.

I got multiple trade offers for him in a fantasy league today. Is there new news?

Unitl he is no longer on the in-active list come Sunday, let's not get our "panties" in a bunch. But, the press certainly is.  So far the Pats have been winning without him. Keep thinking they'll do the same and when Gronk is back, makes the game that much more interesting.

Re: The Saga Continues; Does Gronk play this week ?

    The urban legends never cease

First anything that comes out of espn on internal team matters I ignore. Espn = NYC or some one trying to make news

Gronk had 5 Surgeries in about 7 months including infections, he got a reccomendation from the top Doc, If u wanted to play longer than a few games and be sure for the playoffs, what would you do?

    Other teammates

TB has spoken. He is  the unquestioned leader. he said Gronk wants to play but hasn't been cleared. JE this morn when asked said the same and also said he only worries about what his job is.

This is now a non issue

Any player would have to look at what he would do. Players stay out of other players contracts, same here, they cannot make another players medical decisions

The Pats are  5-1 -Winning means no controversies

    AND the other urban legend

TB renegotiated his contract to keep WW and the Pats screwed him -heard this from CC this morning on M and M. really? TB has said it?  Bb has said it?

Didnt TB get all of his guaranteed money and to play thru 40? isn't that what he wanted?Who else gets a contract like that? if TB goes down the sal cap will be ruined

Furthermore every team has to figure out if anyone player is worth 10% or more of the cap with 53 players and then the possible injuries. for these top Qbs they make as much or more in endorsements. The Qbs themselves have to figure out what's best. and getting the small incremental money may not be the answer. It also does not make a difference to the team, they have to spend X anyways. the Rubik's cube is not always easy. Everyone has to manage their egos

Keep him out till the bye...make sure he is healthy. Injuries seem to be a theme right now. We're gonna win 2 of the next 3 games anyway. Don't be surprised if we lose a close game to the Jets and then kill Miami and Pitt.

I wouldn't be that quick to overlook the Dolphins.

Who knows when he'll come back?  Even Dr. Andrews may not know.  So what?  You play with players who show up, and don't wistfully look at those who are not there.  As rookie receivers learn, matureand hit their stride, and with Collie and Amendola in the lineup, Ridley running and protecting the ball, we will be fine.  As someone said, if Patriots win 12 or 13 this year, BB'd be acknowledged as the coach of the Century.

Red Sox in 2013 World Series, Patriots in 2014 Super Bowl!

Well, my guess is that LittleTimmy has Gronk on his fantasy team, and has his panties in a bunch over Gronk's return. I'm quite sure LittleTimmy has consulted with all of Gronk's doctors to make such an educated statement on the matter.

I'm stickin' with after the bye. If he breaks it again it could be bad news in terms of another recovery needed to play football. They are being overly cautious but it seems very prudent to do so.
