Re: They just keep talking...

He is talking scared. The Giants gave up huge numbers to the opponents TEs, particularly in the last half of the season. And now they are facing the best combo in the league, assuming Gronk can go.

TEs VS Giants D

Week 1 VS Washington 7 catches 126 yards 0 TD
Week 9 VS Pats 12 catches 136 yards 2 TDs
Rob Gronkowski  8 catches 101 yards 1 TD
Aaron Hernandez  4 catches 35 yards 1 TD (coming off injury)

Week 10 VS San Francisco: 9 catches 109 yards 1 TDs
Week 11 VS Philadelphia: 7 catches 70 yards 0 TDs
Week 12 VS New Orleans: 5 catches 84 yards 2 TDs
Week 13 VS Green Bay: 6 catches 87 yards 1 TD
Week 14 VS Dallas - 4 catches 24 Yds 1 TD
Week 16 VS NY Jets: 8 catches 77 yards 0 TD
Last Week VS San Francisco: 3 Catches 112 yards  2 TDs

Have the Giants become the Chargers?  Remember how the Chargers had beaten us for a while, and how much trash they would talk?  An how it all changed overnight when we reversed the trend?

What trend dude?  I'm pretty sure the Chargers have beaten Brady exactly once.

I'm very surprised at this. The Giants are exactly like the Jets. Only difference is Coughlin isn't guaranteeing Super Bowls like Rex, but their players have the same loud mouths and big egos.

I just don't expect this from a team in the Super Bowl.

Remember that Rolle attended "The U", I believe.

With rare exceptions (Wilfork being one), most of those Miami guys love to chirp--it was encouraged at the college where they played.

Wow, you're right.  They beat us once handily 41-17, and that was enough to get them to talk smack.  That's pathetic.

If the Jest every got there with Rex this exactly what I'd expect.  On the other hand I won't expect the Jest in the Super Bowl, so there's that!
And with Connolly back in this game, too, it helps. Wendell was the Center in the first game, I believe. Connolly has been quite good and no one really mentions it.
Posted by RustyGriswold
I couldn' t agree mORE on this. He played great against Ngata. Although Tuck is a different (speed) matchup at 6'4" 313lbs Connolly is tougher to move out their then the 6'2" 290lbs Wendell and a better run blocker then the 6'2" 296 Koppen. I he with a lil help from Waters/Mankins/Volmer this will go a long way!!

Bold talk from the 21st team in defensive passer rating this season (Pats were 20th).

You can limit the tight ends, but jamming them might be a good way to get run over.
