Think this board is bad after a loss? Look here...

This board can be unbearable after a loss.  Negative posters, most from the Sox board, all come over in droves to say everything from fire BB to feed Brady to the sharks.  HOWEVER, there is a place where the fans are even worse after a loss.  You really need to checkout the mutiny going on over at the world famous Jets board Gang Green http://forums.theganggreen.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10

For your own protection, make sure you are wearing a full body rubber before browsing.  I didn't think it was possible to see more turncoats on a board after a loss than here.  I was wrong.

Haha, in the Jets-Pats thread, they even talk about putting Revis on Welker. Can you imagine Moss being covered by Cromartie, LOL!

After just a few minutes there I clearly see that they have the dumbest fans in the NFL.

Here is one of the gems I read....  We need to put Revis on Welker!

I love it, that sounds like a pretty good idea!

Thanks for the link to that disaster of a site.

Quite a contrast between the Giants fans and the Jets fans.  Much like the difference between 49er fans and Raiders fans.  The two clubs appeal to seemingly very different types of people.  Just something I find interesting.  You'd think they would have a roughly equal mix of all sorts of fans.

What I find interesting is not some of the Jets fans jumping ship, but the discussion around the strategy the Jets Defense should employ to stop the Pats offense.

Most that I have seen are advocating Revis covery Welker and put Cromartie on Moss with safety help over the top. They seem to think Revis can shut down Welker, and Cromartie/safety can shut down Moss. Then they suggest putting Wilson on Tate. What they don't say is how they are going to cover Edelman, Gronk, Hernandez and Faulk.

I think it would be interesting to see Revis vs Welker. I think Moss takes Cromartie all day long, and if they want to throw a safety over the top, then they have to put a LB on Gronk or Hernandez and it can't be done.

Patslifer, I don't think they really know the names Edelman, Gronk, Hernandez, and Tate yet.

They will after next week though...

Let them put Revis on Welker and double cover Moss. Just look at what Heap did to their defense. Now think about Brady throwing to the other receivers. There's no way they can send the house and cover those guys. Brady will tear them apart. There's also no way they can afford to double cover both Moss and Welker or waste Revis in the slot.

I hate it, but I'm feeling pretty confident about the game next week. I need to find a way to feel humbled...

Took a peek and there is a whole lot of gnashing of teeth going on.They have a Pats/Jets thread and all they are concerned with is which DB will match up with Welker. Some even suggested double teaming Welker and putting Moss on the island. i guess these guys have no respect for the Gronk/alge and Aaron.

Re: Think this board is bad after a loss? Look here...

    thanks magicalhobo...btw, like the name.

A few of the posters know the names, but I'm guessing they are Pats fans in disguise.

I can't see Revis on Welker either. Revis is good, but I don't think he is as quick as Welker and Welker would tire him out pretty quick.

If the Jets want to cover guys the way their fans suggest, no way they can blitz like they are use to. Perhaps Rex puts a new strategy in place to sit back and play zone, and mix the blitz in sporadically instead of bringing the house all the time.

The Jets defense has to force turnovers for them to win this game. If Brady can stay error free for the most part, I feel good about us winning this one. I think our D is up to the task of taking on Sancheese after we befuddled Palmer who is a much, much better QB.

Sunday can't get here fast enough!

Re: Think this board is bad after a loss? Look here...

Were they to put Revis on Welker it might hold him to only 6 or so catches. But if they try to put Cromartie on Moss they are insane. We saw what Boldin did to him last night. Moss will surely have a field day if that happens! And that rookie they've got is going to be burned badly. Between the TEs, Faulk, and whoever may be in the slot (Tate, Edelman?), they will move the ball at will. As long as the line gives Tom a few seconds. Besides, with their pathetic offense (who could only turn 3 TOs into 3 points), they couldn't outscore NE if Hoyer was playing QB! Rex will put Revis on Moss. He's not quite as brain dead as those drooling Leons on the Jests board! All in all it's been quite a nice week in the NFL. Not only were the Jests (and Sanchez in particular) exposed as frauds, but the Colts and Chargers also lost. I wonder what happened to PhatRex and Indylove?

My guess is that some remember the 2007 playoffs, and I think Moss was contained by Cromartie.  Moss was held to one catch for 18 yards, and Cromartie was a good part of the reason.  I think that version of Cromartie is no longer around, just guessing as to what they might be thinking.

One thing is for sure, when the Patriots put up that 5 reciever spread the Jets are going to get picked apart, if Brady can do the quickie pass routine Gronk, Crumpler or Hernandez are going to get 10 to 15 yard runs all day, then dumping off screen's to Faulk. I remember how the Giants use to kill teams with the screens.

I had that idea last year. You put Reevis on Welker and then you double Moss, but that would've shut down last year's offense. This year's team is too good.

They go with that formation and Fred Taylor will have a field day running the ball, Gronk/Aaron/ Crump will have a field day with Leonard regardless of the coverage and Tate/Edelman on Wilson will be comical to watch.

    31-9 New England.
