    Time for Givens 2.0

Chris Givens, wide receiver from Wake Forest, ran a 4.40 and nfl.com has him as an "elite deep threat" and is a "polished player" who can make an immediate impact.  They compare him to Jeremy Maclin.  They say he could be a late 1st round pick.

It worked with the last Givens.  Let's do it again.

    Re: Time for Givens 2.0

Polished doesn't fit BB's scheme. Draftwise, they need to be raw, run poor routes, and fly. If the only WRs available at the time can fly but have proven production and a bit of polish, it's better to reach at another position, and/or not draft any WRs.

Google "draft history, Patriots" to learn how unimportant drafting a polished deep threat is, and don't question the system.

We learned in 2010 that the deep threat is over-rated, and doubled down in the 2011 draft. The only thing BB likes more than doubling down is tripling and quadrupling down. Google "Pats neglect pass rush in draft" for more details:)

Alligators arms & "gives little effort as a blocker" doesn't sound polished or like the former Givens!
