Time to get Galloway off the field?

. . . I normally hate reactionary threads . . . but . . .
That is two more scores he has cost this team.
One stupid foot out of bounds.
One more dropped pass.
He isn't cut out for this type of offense.
Where do you find a new WR. -

Posted by zbellinoIt's hard to argue with you... When welker is back don't be surprised if Edelman or Aiken, EVEN WITH THEIR OWN PROBLEMS TODAY, end up creeping into Galloways snap count. -

The problem with Edelman is that he isn't suited to play outside the slot. Height plays a big role out there, as does top-end speed.
The way I see it, Galloway cost NE 8 points today, and ended a couple drives last week.
Maybe they give him more time, but he will be the open man a lot fo the time, and needs to pull those balls down. And stepping out of bounds in an endzone cross route is a rookie error. That was a Td he cost them with a mental mistake. -

I thought Nunn deserved the job over Galloway. One thing is clear. He won't be back next year. -

Maybe not even cut them just bench them! Cutting them may affect the cap. -

Reche had crazy dropsies, but he could run a route which is one-up on what Galloway has shown. I hope he can turn it around.
I didn't think losing Gaff would be a huge blow, but after watching Galloway, I wish he were back. He was a tremendous route runner and had decent hands. Even if he didn't 'burn' many people, he could be relied on to a.) be where he was supposed to be, and b.) secure the ball once he was there.
So far Galloway is running past some guys, and then running out of bounds or dropping the ball, or running the wrong branch once he does get past them. -

Posted by zbellinoThe Patriots worked out 5 WR this week. Maybe there is some truth to how you feel about JG! They might feel the same way. This is a hard offense to play in. Too bad they don't have Gaffney! I would say there is a lot of upside if you can get him on the same page and make him a threat to stretch the field on the other side! -

I had a Donald Hayes flashback watching JG today. Time to give Nunn a look, or put Eldeman out there when Welker comes back. -

Maybe they should give Edelman a shot outside?
I wonder about his top end speed.
But he is taller than I thought. Six feet is good enough. I think the problem/benefit, is that he plays smaller than that, which makes him seem more natural inside.
But he has had a few drops this season as well, so we will wait and see. -

Z, he shows promise though. He's never played the position, so it's all upside. Try him outside he can use his route running skills, quickness, and game day speed to get open. He's very raw this year, give him an off season with the coaches, camps and the Juggs and he'll amaze. -

Donald Hayes didn't even get his far. They ran his buttinski out of town at the end of preseason. -

We don't have anyone who can replace him. It's Galloway or no one. I don't think Belichick trusts Nunn all that well. -

Yeah. It is all about context. A blown route and a couple drops for a Rookie converting from QB, plus a dozen catches or so is a different story than two drive killing drops, a couple dropped TDs, a couple missed routes and one rookie foot OOB and ahlaf dozen ctaches for a vet one-time pro-bowler. -

Where do you find a new WR.He had at least three drops one of which hit him right in the hands over the center of the field, another two back to back one downfield 15 to 20 yds and the very next play on the left sideline, which was low but catchable. Troy Aikman so stated during the comentary, and I agree.
