To Many Trades (to many give aways)

The Pats are like this because they traded or I would say gave there team away.  Most to the trades were good players for future draft picks.  I just feel we gave away the team!

    Please elaborate!

    -Vrabel is close to retirement

-Seymour was not going to re-sign with the Patriots after the season, they got a  1st round pick for him from the Raiders

-Asante Samuel signed with the Eagles (He wanted too much money!)
    -Bruschi retired
    -Harrison retired
-Cassell was traded (the Patriots could not afford a $14/15 million back up QB)
-They picked up 2 extra second round draft picks in the 2010 draft with their moving around in 2009 draft

BB wants to stockpile all those draft picks so he can select another Tight End.

Trading Seymour probably wasn't a great idea. His presence alone would have reduced doubles on Wilfork and may have allowed the LB's to get to the QB on a more consistent basis.

Maybe BB knew that they weren't an elite team this year and made the sacrifice for the future? Who knows.

David Thomas is flourishing with a high-powered offense in New Orleans.
