This is a no brainer if BB can pull it off.

Add Ballard to that trifecta?  BB implements new, innovative 4 TE set.  LOL

I was thinking the exact same thing.  In the NFCCG Gonzalez looked too good to be retiring.  If he wants a ring (or half a chance) he'll have to leave the Falcons - with Matt (I like to throw into coverage) Ryan, the Georgia Birds will not win.  He's look good with Pat Patriot on his helmet.  Another good weapon on Offense - but we still need DEFENSE. 

Interesting. If there were to happen, and higly doubtful, go sign Steven Jackson to run behind them. Talk about a punishing offense!

He has about the same chance to win a ring in ATL as in NE.  Pretty similar situations really, and he's already got a rapport with the QB there and presumably a house and all of that.  

The offense will be loaded at TE next season.  It would be hard to say no to such a great player but... No.  First of all if he is going to continue to play he stays a Falcon.  And why not, they got just as close to the SB as the Pats did.  Second, Gonzalaz has been luck to play as long as he has without serious injury. Can he continue with this streak as he gets another year older?  Third, spend that money towards keeping Welker and getting a deep threat.

I said this in a previous post. See if a shot at a ring with a 1 year in the 7-10mil will peak his interest.

 

Gronk, Hernandez , Ballard and Tony would look scary on the field.

I think he'll either retire or stay put, besides how many tightends can we carry, we'll have two mauling tightends in Gronk and Ballard as it is with a lot of depth behind them with Huey and Fells...

It's ATL or retirement for him.

Other than reputation, ATL and NE are pretty much now the same team...Good in the regular season and bad in the post season.

In ATL, Julio Jones and Roddy White are WRs, so he would be the number 1 TE on the offense. He's going to be competeing with Gronk and Hern for snaps here in NE

Pats need a deep threat, mike wallace would be the first to come to mind.  then a shut down corner to play along with talib.  and a pass rusher.  TE would be close to last on the list.

we aren't going to go after a big FA wide reciever.......People keep bringing up Fitzgerald and Wallace.....BB has had oppurtunities and won't bite. He will go after a low budget FA hoping for an up year or draft a prospect.

stats wise ho should do better with Brady.

if its possible for gonzalez to be signed and have other areas improved as well, its a no brainer....but tight end isnt exactly a place of need for the patriots....not sure what the contract situations are for hooma and fells....but they could potentially have 5 tight ends on their roster without gonzalez.

Who's going to throw to this "deep threat"? Certainly not Brady, when was the last time you saw Brady complete on a deep pass? How many times since 2007 has he completed a deep pass? For one he struggles to throw the ball deep and for two he isn't accurate with the throw. Now if Mallet is the QB then its a different story but no way are they going to sit Brady.

The Pats had exactly 1 wide receiver capable of "stretching the field" this season.  Brady hit Stallworth on a gorgeous 63-yard touchdown; unfortunately, Stallworth was injured on the play, and didn't step on the field again.

If he has somebody capable of going downfield, he'll hit them.
