    maybe i have become desensitized by all these "trick shot" videos.

    they have been done to death, and the majority of them are fake.

    Who is to say that this video isn't fake. And even so who cares you could try it 50 times and make it once, you will only show the one time you make it.

    Above and beyond what ChasaB correctly points out, setting up and practicing tricks over and over again does not necessarily indicate an ability to actually play football. If there were some football equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters, maybe this kid could get an audition . . .   as it is, he can't get on the field at UConn.
